Favorite board game ?

I'm strolling down memory lane. Here are my faves (but I haven't played board games in many, many years):

1. Uncle Wiggily2. MAD (with that Alfred E. Neuman character)
3. Monopoly

I use to love that game.

Favorite now is Trivial Pursuit. I particularly like the "specialized" versions. No one will play Star Wars Trivial Pursuit with me though

As a child I enjoyed Chutes N Ladders and Candy Land. I was crazy about Chinese Checkers for a long time.

Arkham Horror.

Never heard of it? Not surprising. It's sort of a niche game, but all of my friends love it too. What can keep 6 people, all with advanced degrees, completely focused and engaged for 6+ hours at a time? This game. DH just brought home a new expansion set too. Can't wait to try it out.

Don't know if anyone's heard of it: Masterpiece haven't played it for a loooonnng time though.

Still love to play Risk.

I think that game is in my moms basement in the closet with all the old games from the 60's, 70's & 80's.



I did love to play Careers back in the late 70's early 80's with my sister late at night on summer nights.

I said Trivial Pursuit the other day on this thread. I was just reading over the thread to see other people's replies, and I remembered Taboo. I love to play it, but it doesn't have a board.

My favourite board game used to be Risk. My DH has no interest in games unless they include a TV so I don't play anymore but I used to have some great all-nighters in high school.

I don't know if it would really be considered a board game, but I was introduced to the game Blokus when I was in grad school and I love playing it. I actually went out and bought 6 of them so that my whole class can play at once. It's a strategy game/spatial sense game and my 4th graders always love playing. We do tournaments each year.
