Last time we visited the Mouse in 2007 we brought our then 20 month old daughters huge Graco Quattro Tour Stroller- great for her comfort but terrible for getting on and off bus transportation. This year we are renting a car and driving and either need a folding smaller stroller or rent a stroller. As it would probably be cheaper to just buy one I'm looking for a lightweight folding model that has some sort of basket underneath as well as a canopy on top. I'm one of those need to have extra clothes and unbrellas and ponchos moms that needs a bit more that the basic unbrella stroller. Also I'm 5'9" and my hubby in 6'2" so a lot of the smaller strollers seem like I'll be bending over to push.
I'm hoping some Disney veterans can help me out with their favorites, so far I've seen some Combi strollers that look like they might work and weigh in at less than 15 pounds. I'd love to hear which ones are your faves and how they worked for you!

We have a very nice Combi stroller but it is too short for either DH or I to push.

Both the Peg Perego Pliko P3 and the MacLaren Quest have adjustable handles and are a very comfortable height for us to push.

The MacLarens are extremely lightweight and easy to push. We are on the hunt for a new stroller now and are considering the MacLarens and the City Mini by Baby Jogger.

I love Maclarens!!! They are lightweight and easy to fold. They also push very well...nice and smooth!!

We have a baby jogger city classic (it holds more weight than a city mini & we bought it when our daughter was 5). We preferred it MUCH more than our Maclaren. It pushes easier, the handles are more adjustable and comfortable & our dd said it was more comfortable. It also folded easier than the Maclaren.

I have a Maclaren Triumph and I just bought a Baby Jogger City Mini. I will be using the Triumph for DS4 and the Baby Jogger for DS1 1/2 for our trip in Sept.

Now, that being said...I had two Maclaren triumphs (which I love) BUT they are really not great for a younger child who many need to recline fully and the canopy stinks. I sold one of my triumph's on craigslist for $50 to put toward my new city mini! :woohoo:

The baby jogger city mini is AMAZING!!!!!!! Go to babies r us and test it out, you will fall in love! Crazy easy to fold, there's a strap on the seat and you just lift up on the strap and the thing folds in half! Love it! :lovestruc The canopy is unbelievable!! No need for a ray shade on this thing! And the fully reclining seat is awesome. The straps are so easy to adjust. There's loops on the front of the seat and you just hook the starps onto the loops, don't have to go through the back and all that!

I am IN LOVE with this stroller! Just wanted to add my two cents! :))) :cloud9:

ETA: The city mini is great for taller people as you mentioned, you and your DH are. the handle is pretty high and I think you would find it comfortable to push, and don't even get me started on how this thing just glides around and turns on a dime!!!! Hahahaha

Our last trip this past May we purchased a Maclaren Quest and we loved it. It's light and folded up fast and easy which was a bonus for my hubby who was in charge of the stroller. Our daughter is 4 so she still naps or takes breaks in the push chair so it was important that we got a Mac with the reclining option - that's why we chose the Quest. The cost was great too - we purchased it from an eBay store for 100 bucks + free shipping.

We've used it regularly since our May trip to WDW; runs to the mall, week vacation in Williamsburg, VA, and later this week we'll be in Cape Cod, MA and Maggie (is what our kids call it) will be coming along for the fun.

If I am reading your post right, DD is now maybe 3 1/2? I would go with a Maclaren Volo- you don't need a napping stroller at that age, just a lightweight one. The Volo is under 9 lbs and has a carry strap so when she's not riding, you can sling it over your shoulder. and you can get last year's model on line for about $70.

I also have a Baby Jogger city Series mentioned - that would truly be overkill, it folds easy but weighs a TON. Definitely great to push but I couldn't imagine lugging it on and off of transportation. The Baby Jogger City Mini would be a great choice, but will cost you significantly more than the Volo.

We have a Maclaren Quest that we are planning on bringing for all our trips. We would love to being the Graco Quattro because it is more comfy for our DD but like you said a pain on the buses, so I recommend the Quest.

We used our Mac Quest in May with our 3 year old. It does not recline fully, but enough to give a nice nap. It also comes with a perfect rain cover, which we utilized daily. The fold is perfect for plane/car travel, and it makes traveling on the trams/busses/monorails easy as pie.
If you look around and search the web, you're sure to find deep discounts- especially if you look for last year's model. Highly recommended product.
