What are your favorite restaurants in Gulf Shores, AL and Destin, FL?

Maguires Irish Pub in Destin is terrific. Great steak, great home brewed beer and root beer, great everything!

Gulf Shores:
Original Oyster House--usually long waits, so try to get there early

Shrimp Basket--- small place, but food is good and not so pricey

Another vote for McGuires. The ribs are out of this world. Another wonderful entree is their smoked prime rib and also their steaks. Fudpuckers is fun for the kids too and the smoked tuna dip is wonderful. Be sure to go to the Fudpuckers in Destin, the one in Ft Walton is just nasty!

We Love AJ's.... particularly we like to split the big meal for 2. It comes with a TON of peel and eat shrimp, crab legs, corn, potatoes, etc.... so good! The full menu isnt online... otherwise I would find the name of it!

Fudpuckers is fun for the kids too and the smoked tuna dip is wonderful. Be sure to go to the Fudpuckers in Destin, the one in Ft Walton is just nasty!

Another vote for Fudpuckers. We usually spend our time in Panama City due to family living there, but when we head over that way we go to Fudpuckers.

Gulf Shores-

I second the Original Oyster House. Delish. But definitely get there early.

Lulu's is also fun. My kids have a blast there.

In Gulf Shores the best two places to eat are the
Original Oyster House, Lulus and Big O's. Big O's is a local place and does not look like much but the food is fantastic. There is usually verry little wait either. My aunt who lives there and owns a store in Gulf Shores recommends this to everyone. Lulus and Oyster House are great but the wait can get up to 3 hours In Orange Beach Tacky Jacks is good so is Calypso Joes. InPerdido The Crab Trab is great. In Fort Walton Floyds is really good. In Destin the sky is the limit. Sorry to ramble on but we spend almost all summer at the beach so we have found the good places. Just let me know if you have any questions.

We have always enjoyed eating at Wolf Bay Lodge (Gulf Shores) and at Lambert's in Foley. Lambert's is the home of the throwed rolls so if you have children they will love it!
