Favor Question

So I finally figured out what I want to do for favors!! But theres a hitch. I know Disney has a rule about "No Outside Food", but if its for favors and the guests will just be leaving with them and not eating them at the reception is that okay? DF is Italian and we want to do Cannoli's. I know Tutto Italia does them but they are 12.50 for two and I know I could find an Italian bakery in Orlando to do it for cheaper..do yall know anything about this? Could you bring food-favors in? Or do I need to go through Disney and pay out the nose for them? TIA gals!

I think it would probably be best to get the yes/no from your planner. I've read that you can't have any outside food (including favors)...but it seems to be a gray area.

I personally do not know, but you might consider the don't ask don't tell. If you get them from a bakery in Orlando and package them so that it is't obvious it is food (like in a box with a ribbon/bow)...I would think it would be fine. You are allowed to bring in favors for your guests and Disney doesn't have to know that food is in the gift. Maybe put a cut poem on a gift tag about not opening it up until after the reception.

We just got back and used an outside vendor for cho. covered bride and goom strawberries put in a clear box with a ribbon. It was $3 for a set where Disney charges $5 each! I didn't even think to ask if it was okay. No one said a word about it, but I didn't make a big deal about it either. We were going to give them out at the wedding and had told the planner we would be providing them, but on the day changed my mind & took them to the Grand Floridian Cafe where bell services kept them in a cooler until dinner time because it was hot and I was afraid they would melt!
