I have decided to give these adorable Mickey Frames as my favors (check my PJ if you want to see what they look like). I am looking to wrap the boxes up in a nice paper and present them that way. I would love to find some Disney wedding wrapping paper and ribbon if possible. I have been searching the net and have found nothing. Does Anyone know of any sites/stores where I may find something like this? Thanks!

I know a long time ago Disneyshopping.com had some, but it was like $10 for 2 small sheets. At Christmas Target and Walmart will have Mickey paper, but it'll be kinda holiday themed.

For Ribbon I love: http://www.creativeimaginations.us/store/14385.php

Maybe you could do a simple tissue paper or wrapping paper and putting on a ribbon with a design.

Or you could try using regular white craft paper (or brown postal wrap) and use the Disney ribbon, but also attach a Disney themed tag. This way, you could write out (or type out) a little thank you for coming. :thumbsup2

If you know anyone that scrapbooks, they may have a Cricut and the Mickey & Friends cartridge which can cut out Mickey silhouettes for you to use as tags. Or you could always print them out on your computer (on a nice cardstock paper) and hand cut them out. :)

On my the favors I did for the kids at my wedding I made Mickey tags. I used a gatorade bottle cap to make the head and a soda bottle cap to do his ears.

I know there is definitely Mickey paper out there because I've bought it before. I feel like I got it from CVS or someplace like that but it wasn't a roll, it was sheets, so that could get kind of expensive...

Depending on the size check out your local scrapbooking store ... the ones near my place have a HUGE selection of disney themed paper that could be doubled as wrapping paper

LOVE that idea!!! Can't wait to see pics!!:thumbsup2

If you want an online store check out
mousememories.com (they're local for Florida) but they sell pretty much everything Disney)

I just printed out Disney pictures off the internet and decoupaged them to boxes and everyone thought it was wrapping paper. Its a lot more work but you can use any pictures you want. I used ride posters

These are AMAZING! I think I'm in love! haha! This idea could be used in general to decorate boring old storage boxes too! Thanks for this, I really love the idea! :flower3:

thanks! It is a little hard on the printer but I love how they turned out

how hard on the printer? did you go through a lot of printer cartiridges? also what kind of paper did you use? as my DF said above and i agree, love the idea since we still can't find anything.

I guess it depends on how many you need to make and how big your boxes are. I used about a whole ink cartridge and my boxes were big but did not make very many (I made these for my Save the date so only need one per family). I just used normal ink do not have to waist money on photo ink and just plan paper (the thinner the paper the better) I just used the paper I already had at my house. Also for the quality of the picture I just hit normal before I printed I figured making the quality best would waste ink. I bought decoupaged glue at a craft store and you just put it on the back of all the pictures and put it on the box then put the glue over top all the pictures. If you have anymore questions let me know

If you want to do the decoupage, and don't necessarily have to use the vintage signs like Ann did, maybe you can buy some cheap Disney books and use the pictures from those. I recently picked up four books for one dollar each at Michaels (called Disney's Magical World of Reading which had Bambi, 101 Dalmatians, Robin Hood, and Dumbo) just to use for scrapbooking purposes. Or even Little Golden Books would work, if you can find some really cheap. Your printer won't hate you this way! :rotfl:

Thanks Ann! I am going to start looking around for some ideas. I only have to do 25 and they are not big boxes since they are frames, so hopefully one printer cartridge should be enough. hell i might be able to print it at work also! i have never decoupaged before, but i am sure it is easy to learn!

I used to have so many of those little golden books growing up! i might go to strand or another used book store and see if i could find anything. this way i have possible 2 options. that is a great idea also! thanks sarah.
