Favor Ideas/Help

Hello All!

I am a little lost with favors and could use some other input because no matter how much I love DF, he's not getting it!!!

Since our wedding is close to Christmas and I the holiday season, I want to give out Christmas presents as our favor. I found nice boxes from Oriental Trade - they are 7" tall and 4.5" square and have a lid that fits on them nicely. I plan on making a gift tag for each favor as there will be one for each family, not one for every person. So...now that I have the box, the trouble is how to fill it with the right mix of fun, Disney, and Christmas.

Here's what I've thought of so far...any thoughts or suggestions would be totally appreciated!!!

1. CD of wedding music with a label using one of our images
2. Chai Teabags in cellophane Christmas treat bags sealed with MM head stickers
3. Small MM Christmas Ornament personalize with our initials and our wedding date
4. Magnets with our new address because we just bought a house

Any thoughts on what else can go into the box?

What about the Mickey head ornaments that can be personalized. You can do one with each family name. They have big ones and they have little ones that come in a box for I think 4 for $16. You can buy them in your wedding colors and when they personalize them they can add heart pixie dust around the names and you could have your wedding date on it also.

What about hot cocoa instead of tea, or maybe a mason jar with mixed dry ingredients and then a recipe for your favorite cookie or something. Then they can just add wet ingredients and have home made cookies!

I say go for the ornament. I also like the idea of personalization, but maybe just stick with your wedding date on it.

I like the idea of cocoa instead of tea and what about some mini candy canes or other Christmas candies!

I would def go w/ MM Ornaments - so when Christmas comes - they hang that on their trees and think of you and how fun your wedding was. I would probably fill the boxes w/ fake snow & MM head glitters for more Christmas / Disney effect

Just a thought - If you're going to have a Christmas tree @ your reception, you can probably put those little boxed underneath the xmas tree =)

They all sound like great favors. I did personalized ornaments & m&ms. Ornaments were made buy a lady I found online for a reasonable price.

We ordered them through Disney Mail Order. I can give you the UPC code if you need them. We will add our names and wedding date in paint marker, probably gold. We are actually going to use the boxes for them as the placecards for our guests (well the gift tag on the box at least).

Sure! I did mine in January with my wedding colors instead of traditional christmas colors. Everyone loved them!

we are getting married on Halloween and one of our favors is personalized hot cocoa packets...just google and you will find some really good companys - they were not expensive and they also look awesome!

I don't see this as a problem at all - I wanted to have a Christmas wedding - - until I saw the minimum!! **WAY OUT OF BUDGET**

I'm actually planning to do the same for me - have it customized to match my decor . . . It will be a fun DIY / Research / New Thread thing!!

We ordered them through Disney mail order. Other than the two sets I showed, I think they had one other multicolored one that may work well for a non-Christmas wedding. You can see them here:

I would still recommend ordering them directly from Disney mail order, they ended up being cheaper that way for us. I know that closer to Christmas, Disneyshopping.com also carried silver ones.

Our VR is scheduled for Thanksgiving week 2008. I Love Love Love the ornament idea. I may even buy some of them on our trip this year. That way I can get a jumpstart on what/how I'm going to personalize them!

They have those colored Mickey ornaments in SO many colors!! I have them all over my Christmas tree every year. I have rainbow colored ones and Christmas ones. They silver, gold and I think even blue. They also have multiple sizes. I have no idea if these are online, but I know they are in the 12 Days of Christmas shop at Downtown Disney in Orlando. I LOVE Them!

PS I think they are a fabulous idea any time of year. I'm kind of considering them now
