favor for someone going to DL?

I'm hoping that someone will be able to help me. I am a frequent WDW visitor but recently was able to go to DL. I won't be able to return in the foreseeable future. My grandma will turn 97 this November. She's doing well, although she had to go into a nursing home after she broke her hip last year. Due to her age and arthritis, she can't wear regular rings anymore (they make her knuckles hurt). She is always feeling my ring and my mom's and then patting her hand and asking where her wedding ring is. I got her a stretchy ring at the jewery store on Main Street, in the hopes that it would fit and be comfortable. I've never seen anything like it. She LOVES it. When my mom comes every day to visit, she asks for her diamonds (my mom takes the ring with her to help it not get lost) , and she sits and looks at it, and shows it to everyone. It really makes her happy. And because it is so sparkly, she can see it (she has very limited vision).

My mom and I are terrified it will get lost. Unfortunately, although this is a great nursing home, in a group setting these things do happen. It would crush her.

I was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to take the time to see if it is possible to get a spare. I would be happy to reimburse you for the ring, shipping, and packing materials via check, money order, paypal, or whatever you would like.

It is clear crystal with three bands all attached together. The outside bands are little crystals and the middle has larger square crystals set on the diagonal. It is the same thickness all around. I remember seeing ones that were marquis crystals that were larger on the top of the ring. If it was all clear, it likely would look similar enough although the same ring that we have would be best. It cost about $12. I think they are all one size. It fit me and I can wear a 6 or 7. There was a basket of different color rings by the cash register.

I can't get my ring pictures to work! I am not sure what I am doing wrong, but I can e-mail them or if there are directions somewhere for how to post pictures, I can try again and hopefully do it right.

It would be so appreciated if it would be possible for someone to help us get us the ring! It really would be an act of kindness.

Hey, Cupcake, I'm not going for another month, but if you haven't found a solution by then let me know.

BTW, have you tried the shopping service at the laughing place? I haven't used them, but I've heard that they'll pick up stuff from the park--for a price.

Also, have you tried calling the Disney Merchandise Guest Service number? I'd bet that they could get you the ring you need.

I will be in DL on the 10th of September and would be more than happy to do this for you. PM me if you need me to. Blackunicorn is right, I have used the laughing place store to buy stuff my family saw at Disneyland, wanted and then didn't buy (makes for a nice surprise). They are very prompt and reputable. Let me know, always happy to help out fellow disboarder! Also, I had a 97 year old grandmother who couldn't wear her rings either so I know how important this is!

I logged on and was so happy to see all the kind offers of help. My mom was worried about the ring as my grandmother has taken such a shine to it and said how unfortunate it was that there was no way to get another, and I said I bet there was! It is true that this is absolutely one of the nicest corners of the world. Being the DL novice I am (I am lucky to be able to go to WDW a lot) I didn't know there was a shopping service. But since Mary Jo is going so soon, I have gratefully accepted her offer of assistance.
