While I appreciate that Father Christmas is very busy in December - we were wondering whether he still appears after 24th or does he return to the North Pole

Yes!!!

he does appear until about the 7th or 8th of january - whenever they take down the decorations.
You can see him and the reindeer at the parade, and visit him in his grotto. there were no queues when we went - it would have been the 7th.
he is the best santa i've come across anywhere.

We've seen him and Santa Goofy after New Year(ealry January). We convinced DD (5) he was there for a holiday after all his hard work at Christmas

My DD1 told me that Mickey, Minnie and everyone else were people dressed in costumes... I was very disappointed
