Fat Acceptance...

I'll I know is if I ever find out any of the fat bashers on here are on my flight on 8/23 or 8/31, I'm coming to sit next to you and ooze my fatness all over you! :scared:

I would ask to be reseated, unless you bought two seats including an aisle

I am not bashing, just saying that it's unfair that you and I paid for one whole seat, but you are taking up 1 1/2 seats

You know, I think they should just ship all the fat people off to their own island somewhere so we can stop making them "worry" about our health and stop being such a blight in their eyes.

Boy, that actually sounds too good to be true. PLEASE!!! Send us to that island. I'd gladly be first in line. :woohoo:

Jez Goofy lighten up a little. I'm just trying to throw a little levity into an otherwise tense thread. ;) We all feel very strongly about this topic and I just thought maybe a little laugh would get everyone re-centered. I know I was sure becoming offended and agitated. BTW Goofy, what if I buy the window and the aisle, then wattcha gonna do? :lmao:

I'm always amazed at the self-righteous "thin" folks who think they're going to outlive the rest of us. There are other risk factors in life: stress, alcohol, on-the-job dangers, risky behaviors, genetics, environment etc. that may kill off The Immortals sooner than the smokers and the fat folks. One thing's for certain, we're all going to kick the bucket sometime, and when we do it probably ain't gonna be cheap. There are no guarantees in life, 100 years from now I guess we'll finally know who the last person standing from this discussion will be. I'll be checking it out from where ever I happen to end up, and if it's one of us "doomed" folks, I'll be laughing my hind end off. :lmao:

My grandmother died of cancer, after an 8 year battle (from age 70-78) and the one thing she always said was she was glad she was a little heavy because even during her chemo, she always still looked healthy after having lost so much weight. She made so many friends during the time she spent in the hospital and most of them all died before her. She swore it was because they were so frail and thin to begin with, that there just wasn't anything left of them after chemo began. Now I know some of you will say "maybe your grandmother wouldn't have gotten cancer if she wasn't heavy", but that's not how she ever looked at it. She always swore it was the microwave that did it! :rotfl:

I think grouping heavy ppl in the same category as smokers and junkies is appalling!!

For one the actions of an overweight person are not wrongly affecting those around them in the same way as a smokers smoke does, or a junkies behavior does..

My mom is heavy and I say if she is happy then all power to her, sometimes I wonder if the reason why super skinny ppl who are constantly counting calories are so miserable is because they are hungry! EAT SOMETHING ;)

Wow, snappy comeback. Care to show me where in any of my post on this subject I said this, 'cause I've gone back and looked through the entire thread twice and I don't see it anywhere. How about having a discussion about what's in my posts and not acting so childish. :rolleyes1

umm wow....you really don't know what the heck is going on here at all. The "VVVV" (ITS IN ARROW!) was pointing to the original post that i was trying to make a disagreement about. Seriously!

And how about actually understanding my posts and not taking such carelessness in your posts. Ever hear the saying "think before you speak"???? well its not really speak but type. You know what im saying.

And yay congratz you got in a fight with a 15 year-old. Let go have a party

My apologies if I misunderstood your intention. :flower3: I don't know all the jargon on posting boards so "VVVVVV" meant absolutely nothing to me, but usually when someone quotes and then responds below, it means they are responding to the quote. Since you quoted me, then responded, then quoted someone else and responded, I assumed your response below my quote was intended for me. Being the adult that I am, I have no problem with apologizing when I'm wrong. I don't get any pleasure from "fighting" with a 15 year old. BTW, I could care less if you're 15 or 50, everyone is entitled to an opinion, so don't go getting a chip on your shoulder that the adults are picking on you.

It would help my health insurance cost go down that's for sure.

Have a nice trip.

Yup. If health insurance was only for people who were guaranteed to never get sick...there wouldn't be health insurance.
