Do fast passes still run out using the new system?
We were planning on doing half a day at MK , would we need to get there very early to get the most popular fast passes with a time before 2pm (to give us a chance to move on to another park?):confused3
The same would apply for Soaring in Epcot.

We were planning on doing a morning in MK then going by monorail over to Epcot for the World Showcase.
Then on our second day doing the morning at Epcot future world and Soaring before getting the boat over to Disney Studios.
We did this last year and it worked really well for us, however the new fast pass could change the plan. Especially as we will not be able to get ANY fast passes for the studios now.:sad2:

Can you actually choose your times? And does this now apply to all rides not just the old ones with the Fast Pass system?

Thanks for any help.

I'm not certain I understand the question. But if you mean, is there a window of time to use a FP - Yes. The current system is for a one-hour window that you select in advance (based on availability).

Especially as we will not be able to get ANY fast passes for the studios now.:sad2:

This is because you may only select one Park per day under current rules.

Can you actually choose your times?

For the most part, Yes. But as I mentioned above, based upon availability; availability likely diminishes day by day. However, times do open up. For instance, I selected my Toy Story Mania FP+ weeks ago, but just yesterday I looked to see if I could make it a bit later and was able to do so.

And does this now apply to all rides not just the old ones with the Fast Pass system?

The attractions list for FP+ is longer than the old list for FP-. However, some Parks have a 'Tiering' system that will only allow you to select one 'E-ticket' ride (i.e., EPCOT - for most people, Soarin' vs. Test Track).

Thanks for any help.

No worries.

:)

It is my experience that FP+ does run out of available times. We ran into this last weekend when we were at the park and wanted to change one of our pre-selected FP+ times. The availability showed as something like "standby available" with no times to choose from. I hope that helps to elaborate a little bit. :goodvibes

A complete list of FP attractions can be found in the green link in my signature.
