fastpasses

I have not had much experience using the fast passes and I was wondering how they work.

Can you get them for more than one ride at a time? Ex. get a fastpass for the jungle cruise, and also have them for the Pirates of the Caribbean, while you go and ride another ride? Or do you have use the fastpass before you get another one for another ride?

Just something I was wondering about!! Dumb question?

Sometimes you can have more than one fastpass, there will be something printed on each fastpass which tells you when you can go and get another pass I'm not sure there was a fastpass machine at POTC, but I could be wrong.
