Fastpasses for offsite guests?

We're planning our 3rd trip to DW this December and were hoping to stay onsite but am wavering with that decision. What I'm wondering is how the new Fastpass+ system will affect offsite guests, if at all. Admittedly I have not done enough research to know if there will be a difference with Fastpasses for onsite/offsite guests once the new system rolls out. Thoughts?

off site guest will use the fast passes the same as before.

not sure if I want to give up my tickets to use the new system.

The Vice President of NextGen has said that all guests will have equal access to FP+, and they would not tier it based on resort. A lot can change between now and then, but for now, I would not worry too much about it.
