I know this was a thread before, but I didn't subscribe and now I can't find it!

Does anyone have experience with FP's for EE? We're going the first week of May and I'm wondering if EE should be the first set of FP's we get? I was going to get Safari's first, but as I type this, I'm questioning it.... :confused3

Advice anyone?

TIA

I'm guess, but I think you are going to want to get EE Fast passes first. It will be the hot new ride, FP's are going to be a must.

Also I went last year the first week of May and I didn't need an FP for Safari, the line was only about 20 minutes long both days we went to AK. - Don't know how EE will effect AK crowds though this year, but either way I'd get FP's for EE first thing.

Both attractions will be VERY popular in the mornings.

YOU must decide which to do first and how to pick up FP.

Having already done both, its a toss-up for me.

my plan at the end of april is to fastpass ee first...then go on ee...then use fast pass and then get antoher fastpass for ee...and then go to the safari...my thought is people will be going to ee before the safari...kind of like epcot and soarin over test track.

We got FP's for EE twice last week a few minutes after park opening. There were huge lines just to get to the fastpass machine. EE definitely attracts a crowd right now and we didn't do the safari this time, so I don't know how the wait times were for that.

Well, we're staying the whole day at AK, and EE is a "want-to" ride but it's not a priority since we have two little ones, DD is 5 and DS is 6. DS is still deciding if he wants to try EE, so I guess I'd rather get FP for safari (or get in line) first thing in the morning, and since we'll still be around at 4 pm we can try EE at the end of the day. :scratchin

And, we do have an "open" day near the end of vacation so if we decide EE is a must we could do it that day too. Choices, choices.... :rotfl:

Thanks everyone!

Hey Art2heart~

How long did it take to get through the long lines to obtain your fastpasses? I'm thinking that we'll have to send DH into the long fastpass machine lines and keep the kids somewhere quiet to wait!

Great Question! Does anyone know?

:) The lines to get the fastpasses moved surprisingly fast. I would say only about 5 minutes, because they have several machines. Your little ones would have been fine with the length of the wait. We aways sent one person in to get the passes, since it was such a large mass of people concentrated in that one area.

When we enter the park we all decide on a ride that we really want to go on but we know it may have a longer wait (EX. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad). It's always good to do that because when you get fastpasses they have shortcuts through the ride so that you don't have to do that much moving. But in the end you end up meeting with all the people from the standard waiting line.

This is my plan, for what it's worth... We plan to be at AK at park opening. I will "run" to EE to get a FPs, while my DH, DD 11, and Dad ride Dinosaur!, and my Stepmom takes DSs 5 and 3 on Triceratop Spin. Once done we'll meet up for Breakfastosaurus (9:30 adr). Let's hope this works!

Long way off, but to fit in the all of the ADR's I want to make I would only be able to go to AK for two afternoons, and never at park opening. So, my question is, when would FP run out, and/or is their a single rider line like at Test Track, since I will be solo.

I highly recommend that you DO NOT use Fastpass the first time you ride EE.

I assume because you'll have the "long queue" (standby) with more artifacts and supplies, right?

Is that because you think people shouldn't miss the interesting themeing in the stand-by line? Also, where are the FP distributions(should we care to go that route:-)?

Near the Entrance to the queues.

Exactly. I think that seeing the entire Stand-by queue adds a ton to the entire experience.

There is a single rider line at EE. We were a group of 3 and always had people from the single rider line placed with us. As far as fastpasses running out, it would depend on the crowd levels when you're there. Our experience in mid March was that an hour after park opening, passes were already being distributed for mid to late afternoon. I don't know what time they actually ran out.

Thanks. I think I just won't worry about FP then, since it seems that the singles line moves faster. That's what I always used at Test Track.
