Fastpasses and MagicBands

Four our upcoming trip in October, my friend and I are taking our 3 kids but staying in a value resort. We bought our tickets from Undercover Tourist, so all 5 of us have tickets but because those rooms only allow you to have 4 people in them, my son isn't listed on the reservation. When it comes to making Fastpasses, does it mean I can't make his until 30 days out? He's listed on My Disney Experience and his ticket is linked on there but I'm worried that I won't be able to make his with the rest of ours.

You won't be able to book him 60 days out since he is not officially staying onsite.
You will also get a lot of negative feedback on here about putting five people in a room that can only hold four.
Also remember that you don't want to schedule any EMH hours - they won't let him in

Keep in mind that if you get caught with 5 people in the room, you will be directed to pack your stuff and leave immediately. Room capacity is set by the fire marshal and there is no wiggle room.

I encourage you to move to a resort that allows 5 in a room. If that's too expensive, there are a lot of great offsite options.

Anyone listed in the MDE account that has an onsite reservation linked to it can book FPs at 60 days out. Robo is correct. The booking window opens for everyone listed whether they are onsite, offsite, or not listed on the room reservation.

I have a Sept res, my DH is on my MDE, has a linked ticket, and I can't make 60 day FP for him, only 30. I just tried it.

As long as he's linked in your MDE you can select his (and others on your MDE) FP's at 60 days out when you do yours. You only need one person with an on site reservation to be able to make FP's 60 days out for other MDE members. Regardless of their on the reservation or not.

I personally don't think it should be that way, but that's how it is.

I also have a September reservation booked for GF and have scheduled FPs for members of my party who are not on my reservation.

Does your DH have his own MDE? If so, you need to link his MDE to your MDE and he will share your booking window.

*I booked my FPs yesterday when my 60-day window opened and scheduled FPs for everyone who had a ticket linked even though not all are on the reservation.

I agree with this! You wouldn't want to deal with that in the middle of you vacation. What a headache that would be!
