Fastpass

I'm going to post this on attractions also but a few years ago I went to gradnite with my highschool. We went to two disney parks but I remember we had the fastpast tickets where you could skip everyone in line. Well we stayed at a disney resort and we used our room key to get the fastpass ticket. Is the fastpass still around and since i'm staying at POR does that automatically give me and my finace the fastpass. If not how do I go about getting this feature?

Fastpass is available to anyone with a park ticket, not just Disney resort guests, and it's totally free. All you do is stick your park ticket in the fastpass machine and it spits the fastpass right out for you.

Ya know, this may be a silly question, but it's something I've wondered from time to time..... Is there ever a line for the fastpass machine???

If there is...that would be a bit ironic wouldn't it?

There is, occasionally, a line for the Fastpass distribution machines. Usually only a few people though. The machines sometimes don't work, but there is nearly always a CM around who will fix things for you.

For example, we went to MGM-Studios for the Early Entry last week. We wanted to ride Rock n Roller Coaster. It was down, but they were distributing Fastpasses. We were first in line for a Fastpass -- and the machine didn't work. The CM had to override the machine to give us our fastpasses.
