Heading this weekend with my 4yr old kid.
we've only one day in disneyland and another in california adventure.
this is first time we going...

he is able to ride upto 40inch rides...

is it worth to get FASTPASS first ??

but my understanding we can get only one FASTPASS at a time??

is FANTASMIC show fastpass provides in the morning and does it interfere with other rides??

thanks

You can hold more than one FP at a time. They are distributed either as soon as your return window opens for the first one you have or two hours after you pulled the first one, whichever is earlier. So, if you get FP for, say, Soarin' right as you arrive at the park and its return window opens at 9:05 am, you can pull another FP at 9:05. If you pull FP for RSR right then and its return window is 11:30 am, you can pull another at 11:05.

Fantasmic and WoC are not connected to the rest of the system and do not affect your ability to pull another pass.

Judicious use of FP is a key to successful touring - it's always worthwhile.

Just remember you cant horde them all day long, you have to use them within the return window or they become null and void.

thank you all..
in that case i should grab the one its popular once they open rt around 8am.. ??

pull 2nd FP rt when window open and head to First ride...once finish 1st ride then soon second FP window open rt around that time grab 3rd ride FP, is that the trick ?? :)

planning on doing
mountain rail, autopia, hypersonic, bobsleds..

later mickey house, small world, peter pan...

hang around with other small rides..

whats the ketch would be to start first :)

thnx

I would head straight to Peter Pan since that ride has no FastPass and is consistently long throughout the day. After that I would go pull a FastPass for a popular attraction. (HyperSpace Mountain, Indy, etc)

Great...thnx

i guess mickey mouse, goofy might be late ??
somewhere in the middle small world ??

A good rule of thumb is to pull a new FP as soon as your window to do so opens. Don't use the one in your hand until you've secured its replacement (unless end of day or all the FPs you want are gone). That way you maximize the number of FPs you can get over the course of the day.

sure thanks...
i already got the rides we're planning that needs FP so i'll go by ur suggestion...
grab first one...once open window for the first one grab the second i want to...then use first one and once the second window opens grab the third one, correct??

i can grab whole family tickets and get FP for all...

Yep, that's it!

I would only agree to Peter Pan 1st thing if you happen to get there at opening and are among the first to get into Fantasyland. We were there for 9 days this month and people flocked to that ride like their lives depended on it! And the queue rapidly filled to 30+ minute wait within a matter of minutes. What we learned is to skip Peter Pan if the wait is already at the white ropes used to make extra-long queues. When this happens, it's a good time to get a Fast Pass for Hyperspace Mountain (if he wishes to ride it), as these Fast Passes go quickly. On a weekend day, expect them to run out by 11:00 a.m. After that, go ride as many rides as possible before the crowds descend. It's a good time to hit IASW, Pirates, and all the other Fantasyland rides. Check your Fast Pass for when you can collect the next set of Fast Passes and consider Star Tours, as this is the 2nd most popular Fast Pass in the park (son being willing to ride and all).

The understanding behind skipping Peter Pan 1st thing - unless you get in at the head of the line - is the queue *is* always long, but in the park's first hour, almost all the other rides have very little to no wait. Spend your free time wisely! You can get 4-5 rides done in the time it takes you to wait for Peter Pan if the line is long when you get there. Go and do Peter Pan later in the day with an activity book and some treats when all the other lines have slogged up and lines become inevitable everywhere you turn. JMO! :)
