Does anyone know if they still have the fastpass? If so how do you get them? Thanks

LOL! Oh Hydroguy? Where's that darn FP Tips Link?

Short answer: Yes, it's still there. You use it by placing your parkhopper into a FP machine and it will spit out a FP ticket with a return time window on it.

So any of the parkhopper bonus tickets will still spit out a fastpass? They told me today at the reservation Dept. at Disney that AAA quit giving the fastpass so I wasn't sure thanks.

AAA quit giving out the "enhanced fastpass", but standard fastpasses are still in use.

thanks so much for your help, sorry to sound like I don't understand but just to clairify as long as I buy the parkhopper bonus ticket I will be able to print out fastpass? Thanks So much you really made my day I was hoping to go the last week in June knowing it will be busier than usual I didn't mind much as long as I knew there were fastpass!!!!

Yes, your parkhopper will give you a FP. If you get REALLY lucky, you might win a "Dream Fastpass" from the Dream Team and get the enhanced version (where you hold a FP to every ride that has FP available all at the same time). That's what AAA used to offer, but doesn't anymore.

Any DLR entrance ticket, parkhopper or otherwise, can be used to get a FP.

Hi there,
It's my first time posting on this part of the board. I've posted on the DCL board a bit. We just got our AP and will use them for the first time tomorrow and Fri. It has been years since we've been! How do we use FP with an AP?

Thanks!

To use Ap and FP. Stick the AP in the machine bar code up and out spits a fast pass. Wait for the light to come on so you know that it is accepted.. it will then tell you on the pass what time to return.. And what time you can get another pass...

Also you can hold passes for both parks at once.

You can return anytime after the time on the pass.

so how do you recomend keeping the regular hopper tickets nice. not getting bent so the machine can read them? Or is that no problem....

How do you hang on to your tickets? Lanyard? Wallet? Fanny pack? What about wet rides?

What a bummer! No enhanced FP from AAA. We are seriously thinking about taking a trip to DL. We were really looking forward to the enhanced FP. When did they stop doing this?

I apologize in advance if this topic has been discussed ad nauseum. I only recently came to the DL boards, I usually hang out in the WDW boards. DD saw the Disneyland portion of the vacation video and is begging to go to DL, so we are thinking of skipping WDW this year and heading to DL. I have a trip booked for July at WDW and might switch to DL. These boards have been very helpful.

I really do want to visit DL, but it looks like most folks only stay at DL for a max of 4 days, and then visit Los Angeles. We would have to rent a car and do quite a bit of driving on LA freeways. I don't know if I'm willing to do that. The thought of driving in LA, frankly, freaks me out. We typically go to WDW and stay there or go on a cruise and go on ship sponsored excursions or fly to an all inclusive beach resort. We don't leave the vacation resorts and drive around in unfamilar surroundings. So I really don't know if DL is for us. I know we could skip LA and just stay at Disney for 4 days and go home, but I don't think I want to take a vacation that short.

The stopped it in January. No one knows whether it will ever come back, but there is speculation that they stopped it because of the Year of A Million Dreams (YOAMD) promotion and all the extra FPs they are giving out for that, and that EFP may come back after YOAMD.

Yes, four days at DLR would be about right. If you plan your driving times well (drive on weekends or late evening), the LA/Orange County traffic should be manageable - though I understand why you are concerned.

Being from Louisiana I would guess the weather at WDW in July will not bother you that much, but FWIW it will probably be much nicer at DLR that time of year.

I wrote up a popular thread around here that may help you with your decision: "A DLR Guide for WDW Vets" www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1162599.

Thanks Hydroguy! I did read your guide to DL for WDW vets and that was part of the reason we are thinking about going. I really liked how everything at DL is right there, not a whole lot of time is spent traveling between the parks and hotel. This is the #1 selling point of DL.

The only thing I didn't agree with was your count of attractions at WDW, I found it to be short, I took out my park maps and counted at least 87 attractions at the 4 major parks. But overall the guide was great, thanks for writing it.

I also read your trip report and I can't believe how little time you guys spent in the parks! When we visit WDW we spend at least 10 hours per day in the parks. We also tour exclusively in summer, when parks have exended hours.

Being from South Louisiana, I think the summertime weather in CA will be a nice change.

We are leaning toward a 5 day stay at GCH and skipping Hollywood. Those freeways really scare me. I'm from a small town in South Louisiana, and I don't like city traffic. From what I've researched it looks like Los Angeles traffic is the grand dame of all other cities in the US. The thought of 10 lane freeways, gives me the chills.

Just talked to DH. We will keep our summer plans and stick with WDW Poly. Next summer we will be going to DL GCH and hopefully the enhanced FP's will be back! Thanks for all the help!

We will probably flip flop a few more times. DL just seems so appealing, but it is more appealing with the enhanced FP.

You're right...this was a great feature & a real difference from WDW. Much less time moving from hotel to park (or between parks).

Will definitely be less humid. (I lived in Houston for 20+ years, so i know of what i speak ;) )

So when does Crawfish Season start? :cool1: (& if you try the beignets at DL, report back..would be nice to get the opinion from an expert. pirate: )

Naw...just consider it another E ticket ride....one of the perks of visiting SoCal.

hound :cool2:

Dont forget you can you can use them anytime after they vaild time, they do not expire until the end of the day

We are in peak crawfish season right now! Very tasty! Speaking of food, we have the original Brennans in New Orleans, and the brunch there is to die for. I'm looking forward to trying DL's version.

I'm really looking forward to a DL trip, but I don't know if I'll be able to wait untill next summer. Yikes! Decisions! Decisions! Looks like record summer crowds due to YOAMD for both DL and WDW. Maybe I will wait untill next summer.
