Fastpass with new annual passes

Question... we're thinking of getting the dvc premium annual pass with the special price which will be purchased in Dec. Our trip is in June so it will not be activated until then. if I purchase online, will it be associated w/my MDE and will i be able to make fastpasses for our trip even though the pass is not activated yet?
