Fastpass Use question

Hello! I don't think this one has been asked before (if it has i apologize)

When you do fast pass, u can go and get a 2nd one after a specific time has passed, right? Well when u go to get another fast pass, can it be for the same ride, even if you ride time hasnt' come and gone yet?

For example:
Go to Epcot, 10am and get a fast pass for Soarin. Return time is for 1pm.

At 11am, you are allowed to get another fastpass. can u use it for a 2nd soarin, with whatever return time. or must it be for a different ride?

99% sure you can't do this. You can get a FP for anything else at your 11AM example, but not for Soarin until 1PM.

As long as your time to get a new fastpass has come, I think you can get a fastpass for any fastpass enabled ride, including the one you got the first fastpass for. I've done it, so unless the computer screwed up by letting me have a 2nd fastpass, I would think others can do it too.

You can get another fast pass for the same ride provided the time for next fast pass has arrived even though the come back and ride time has not arrived.

Occasionally, according to a secret formula, you can get a fast pass for a different less busy ride when neither the time for next fast pass nor the come back and ride time has arrived.

on that site i found this:

They don't actually record the time you ride. The system is timed so that after using the Fast Pass properly, you will always succeed in getting the next one if you hadn't already done so.

so since they don't keep track of when you ride, i should be able to get a 2nd pass for same ride, esp since there i am sure are instances where the person wasn't able to make their time slot ontime, and therefore get a 2nd pass to attempt to ride...(if that makes sense. LOL)

The computers don't keep track of when you USE your FP. They only keep track of when you received it and when you can get another one. So, yes, you can do whatever you want after that first hour has passed.
