hello. I have two fastpass+ for Anna and Elsa meet and greet. I have no intention of using them. My plan is to surprise a random guest waiting in line and donate my fastpasses to them. I'm sure this will make someone's day.
I guess the other option is to release the fastpasses and someone will more than likely pick them up. (Not as fun).

I think you would have to give those guests your magic band since FP are not paper any more.

While I think that's a great idea and we used to love doing that with paper FP, I don't see how it's possible to do with FP+. You would have to give them either your magic bands or tickets, which I just wouldn't do with a complete stranger.

Yeah, it's not like when you could just hand over your paper fast pass to anyone. Don't they have "cancelled" threads on here for A&E? I would think if you posted it, you'd make someone very, very happy! Then you can coordinate when to cancel it and let someone else pick it up.

We had people within our own party 'donate' their FP by giving them their band to go onto a ride but like others have mentioned, short of giving the receiver your band or ticket not sure how this can be done??

Can I walk up to the Fastpass+ orb with said lucky park guest and scan my band allowing them to walk through? I can see many reasons why this isn't allowed, but thought I'd throw it out there.

You can't, not without letting them take your magic band with them. They will not allow you to scan your band and have someone else walk in. they woudn't have anything to scan at the second scanning point. Best you can do is meet them when they come out to get your band back.

The thing to do is cancel or replace the fastpasses you will not be using, so someone else can pick them up. Yes, then you miss out on the gratification though.

Some (most?) of the attractions had two places to scan, one at the initial entrance then right before the merge of the FP line and the standby line. Even if they did allow someone else to enter after scanning (not sure they would) you would have to go with them to the second scanning location.

No. They also scan the bands at the point where the FP and standby lines merge. And I certainly would not give my MB to a complete stranger! Just change the FPs you won't be using to something else, so someone else who wants them can have them.

Coordinate with someone on the boards who wants the passes. You will make their day!

I would just release them into the system. Back in March, I had several paper fast passes (really, re entry tickets). I tried to "spread the wealth" as I was solo that day, and bring people who were just about to enter the standby line to TSMM. Another CM forbade me from bringing the other folks along, told me it was 100% against policy because FP are intended for the party issued only, and tried to confiscate it. Pretty ugly stuff over something so trivial. Meanwhile, I did it a few times at RnRC and ToT, so maybe it was just that CM. I've always had odd experiences with CMs at TSMM. Definitely wouldn't want to try it with an actual Magic Band.
