I was just thinking... I'm going to miss DH when DD13 and I go in October. I mean, of course I'll miss him and my other 2 girls, but in particular, I will miss my FastPass commando knight! The man is a walking (err purposefully striding) FastPass machine! He liked his role of FP collector and was endlessly vigilent about when a new one could be picked up, and as soon as the girls and I were ensconced in another line or resting with a snack, he'd be cheerfully off like a shot to get us set up with another round of FP for later.

So, I just wanna say-- all you wonderful people who volunteer to be the runner for your group, and selflessly and cheerfully run your butts off to get us all FPs for a fun and stress free day... YOU ROCK! :worship:

Our last weekend DBF was our FP Runner, I think he liked it and I'm hoping he will resume his role on our next trip! LOL One of the most underappreciated jobs is being the FP Runner. LOL :)

So Here's To YOU Mr FP Runner

In our family, I am the FP runner and let me tell ya I treasure those minutes of alone time. Usually I am so busy herding the cats - oops, I mean, kids - that I barely get to look around and soak in my surroundings.

So, I am not heroic, lol, it's totally a selfish move!

Great post! I was just thinking the same thing as I tinkered with the Ridemax program last night. Thank goodness my brother is coming along on this trip - he's a willing and able runner (my dh is not coming and he is able but not so willing).

I was the FP runner on our trip earlier this month. I enjoyed it immensely. SUCH A POWER TRIP!! :rotfl2:

Actually I most enjoyed the extra calories I burned doing it, and the opportunity to let the rest of our group sit a spell and/or have a snack while I took care of saving us time and complaints later that day when we could just walk on X ride...

Oh, I can so relate! On our upcoming trip, my DS13 won't be joining us, he'll be visiting with his grandparents, he IS my knight too!
(and he's officially knighted by his sweetheart in school when they did mock medieval role plays! :cloud9: )
He was our Fastpass runner, our fill in stroller pusher, our stroller fetcher and our Mickey Bar buyer! And he did all this with a smile without being asked!
He's such a great kid! His lil sis will miss him on this trip!

Thank you too...to all who make Disney even more magical by going the extra mile to make your family and friends trip awesome!!

not only do i plan the i also am the fastpass runner don't know some say i have a control issue:lmao: but its just easier cause if mom leaves the kids follow. this year we will be doing alot more fastpass rides so hopefully with all the tips and tricks here i'll be busy

When my family and I go we sort of take turns for who is fast pass runner. It's usually me and DF or my sister and her friend. I enjoy doing it as well. We get a little bit of alone time and can go at our faster pace.

My DH is also the FPV and I don't think we would have nearly as much fun without him doing that. His long legs can cover a whole lot of ground quickly.

I agree with both of the above. (& Jenjersnap..."herding cats".....isn't that the truth. :lmao: )

What better place in the world to "power walk" than at our DLR (especially DL)? Plus, I'm able to see things I don't normally see when i'm distracted by cat herding.

Also, it's satisfying to know that FPs (for the entire family) are magically & effortlessly in one's pocket for the more crowded evening touring. ::yes::

hound <----designated FP runner. (& lil hound is the designated "grab the FPs as they spit out of the machine" dude.) :hyper:

I believe that if your FP runner requirements cost you at least 10 minutes of time (going to the other park to get a FP, etc.), then the park rules require you to get yourself a churro.

My dad is our FastPass runner, and I know he does it just to get away from us :rotfl2: I don't blame him though, 5 girls is a lot to handle! :cutie:

Me and my sister (disneylover2) are our familys fastpass runners! :) :) we love our job

Vacation Dad.....

5 minutes equates to a Churro.

It's in the hound rule book......for Ten minutes it's a corny dog.

:cool2:

:rotfl2: This thread makes me laugh. I showed it to my dh in hopes that he would now want to be our FP runner because I sure don't want to do it :lmao: I think it might have worked (he wants to be a hero) so thanks everyone!!

I'm the official FP runner in our family. DH is horrible with directions and would get lost trying to get there and back! :rotfl2:
I wouldn't say I enjoy it, but I enjoy the perk it gives us by not having to wait in long lines!

I am the FP runner in my family. My husband thinks running around is a waste of time. Our last trip I ran around while he went on rides with the kids using the FPes I got. Needless to say I wasn't a happy camper.

I am the FP runner in my family. My hubby can't work the Fastpass machine properly. This Spring Break, we "walked" to California Screamin' while my family was in line, I got FP for the ride-thinking the line would be awhile.. My family was way in front of me- I just jumped over the que rope... Here's the thing- I had a skirt on- I know I flashed a bunch of people in the line. At least, I had my Mickey panties on.:rotfl2:

My DH is our FP runner, although sometimes a bit reluctantly. Maybe if I tell him about these "rules" he will be more obliging. :rotfl2:
