It's been a few years since we've been to Disneyland. Last time we were there the FP machines from the 2 parks weren't connected, and GRR and Roger Rabbit were off the "database" as well.

Is this still the case? Can we still get a FP at GRR even if we have one for Soarin'? And can we still get one for each park?

Is there any update to the FP "tricks" at DL that I am missing???

Thanks in advance!;)

From my trip last week, I can tell you that things have changed somewhat. The good news: Disneyland and California Adventure are still not connected.

The change: GRR is on the "database" now. I tried to get a Soarin' FP last week and it rejected me specifically because I had a current GRR FP. It had been so long since I'd even requested a FP on GRR since we typically just go in the Single Rider line. I only got the GRR FP because I was being helpful and was showing a first-timer how to get the FP since the GRR CMs were not at the FP area. I figured it wouldn't keep me from getting a Soarin' FP since the last time I'd tried it (albeit a couple of years ago) they weren't connected.

Hope this helps. Have a great trip!

Yep, that is the only change. GRR is now connected. RR still is not.

The one "trick" a CM told us about on our last trip, is that you can use your FP even after your window of time is over.

Example: FP says come back between 11:00 a.m. & 12:00 p.m. You are able to use it even after 12:00 p.m. They don't expire as long as they are used on the same day.

Good luck on your trip!:goodvibes

Thank you so much for this information. :) I am sorry that you had the problem that you did. :sad2: And thank you for preventing me from making a similar mistake. My DD and DH love to ride GRR together, so the single-rider line doesn't work well for them. At least I know that I can't double the FPs this time. ;)

Thank you! Everyone here is so helpful and I really appreciate it. :goodvibes

We've been going to WDW the past few years and it's hard enough to remember all the differences in the "rules and procedures" between DL and WDW, let alone keep up with the changes made since the last time we were there.

Can't wait DL!!!

The OP was asking about updates to tricks and that has been around since at least 2003 and has not changed. So bottom line is you are exactly correct :) but is nothing new and thus not an "update" to FP tricks. :wizard:
