Say I want to go to HS and I only want to ride the Aerosmith coaster. Do I have to reserve two other attractions? If I don't want to ride anything else how does that affect obtaining additional FP at other parks since we will be park hopping? Our first trip was in late April and we only utilized FPs once during the day at MK. We had good luck with crowds and mainly visited the parks during the evening so we really didn't fiddle with the FP system. Any insight would be helpful. Thanks!

If you don't choose the other 2, the system does it for you.

Since you can't get that 4th FP (or FP at another park), the best move is to make those 2 throw away FP as early as possible so that they drop off before you get to the other park or want that 4th.

Ok. So if I book three FP and we let the window expire on the one or two that we do not wish to use, the system reads that as that experience being used? Then we can book our additional FPs when we arrive at the next park? I believe I read somewhere that you can have FP times overlap too. Is that accurate?

I really would like an answer to that also. concierge at boardwalk told me once I let those 3 FP plus expire, (if I used them or not) I could get a 4th FP.

but the CM at DHS told me I couldn't (this was in April). since I didn't use them.

sounded like I had to "rebook" the fastpass pluses I didn't use? not so easy if you don't have a smartphone.

The time has to lapse....so let's say you have:

9am to 10am Star Tours
10:30am to 11:30am Aerosmith RnR
11:45 to 12:45pm Tower of Terror

At 12:46 you can get a 4th FP....at DHS or another park of your choice. Once the time for your 4th FP is over you can get a 5th...and so on.

I have read, but never personally tried...that you should do RnR at the earliest allowed.....i.e. 10:30....then after you finish riding RnR the system will mark it as completed, and you supposedly can then try to get your next FP time moved up.....of course that's also assuming that there is time available earlier. That is probably why the recommendation is to choose FP as throwaway that aren't popular....so they can easily be changed to earlier when you complete RnR. You can also go to a kiosk (or the APP if it works for you) and simply change your 3rd FP to whatever has the earliest availability to get that clock running down.

Also remember that your 3rd FP time can be running the clock out while you are travelling to the next park.

so I guess the CM at DHS was wrong. cause all of our fastpasses were for the morning. at epcot, I think. we had used only one (we did rope drop for soarin and used the FP for test track. ) we only booked the other 2 becuase we "had to"

they had expired. that evening we went to DHS and the CM said we could not book a FP/:confused3

The system will assign two additional FPs to you at the time of booking. However, you can immediately cancel those extra two and just leave yourself with RNRC. As soon as you ride RNRC, you can book an additional FP of any tier or at any park (as long as you are at a kiosk in the park where you want to do your next ride). No need to worry about expiration times of the unwanted FPs. The key is just to cancel the FPs on the website prior to arriving at the park.

As long as you use at least one FP and the other two expire or you cancel them, then you can select the 4th, 5th, etc FP at a FP kiosk in the same park or a different park.

If you don't use any of them, you can simply just pick 3 new ones on your phone or at a kiosk. The system will know you didn't use any of your 3, so you'll still have 3 that you can pick

Unless your trip was before they started allowing the 4th (etc.) FP to be booked at a second park, the DHS CM was wrong.
