We will be staying at AKL the last week of August and we plan on going to AK. I understand we get to pick 3 fast passes. I'm wondering do you not get to pick a fourth at the park until all these are done? What if you pick a late time? Do you have to wait until the last time before you can get your fourth? Also, was thinking of doing Everest first then the Safaris. We plan to be there 15 minuntes before the gate opens. Do you think the Safaris line will be long if we first try to to another ride? Any plan or advice? Thoughts on how to do fastpasses.

Yes, you need to use up all 3 fp before you can make a 4th (and then 5th and then 6th....). If your fp time is late in the day then you are unable to make another fp until after the last fp time (which often means that there are not many options for fp left).

Also, remember that you must use the FP+ kiosk in the park. (you are not able to do it on your phone). There are several kiosks around, but sometimes not in the most convenient places.

Yes, I think you will have a pretty long line at Safari if you first try to ride EE. (Depending on what time of year)

Consider dong the safari first and then EE. You can always use the single rider line at EE if the line is a lot shorter. If you do make a late FP+ time, you might as well make all three for the afternoon/evening.

Disney distributes an enormous amount of Fastpass+'s for the Safari, so many that the Fastpass line is usually about a 20 minute wait. When I went to the Animal Kingdom on a Thursday in May on a recommended day, the standby wait was over 60 minutes every time I walked past it, including at park opening. I strongly advise you to make the Safari your # 1 Fastpass priority. So many more people ride the Safari compared to EE. On the same day, I never saw the standby wait for EE excede 25 minutes.

Thanks Everyone!! We are going last week in August. Not sure what crowds will be like then. However it will be hot!!! Looks like maybe the plan is go straight to the Safari at opening and then schedule 3 fastpasses. Think thats what I'm reading.
