I know you all will know this one.

Still being new to all this, I was wondering how SANDISW held those multiple Fastpasses at MK, which she mentioned in her last trip report. She had 3 by 12:30, I think. I thought you could only have one at a time??

You can get a new one in two hours or after your entry time. So if you get one for 10:05 you can get a new one at 10:06 that might have a return time of 11:40 and then another at 12:06 - two hours after your last one.

Since they don't hold you to the end of the two hour window, some people collect fastpasses in the morning and don't use them until the park is busy in the afternoon.

Lets see if I understand what you are saying. If I get a fast pass at 10am with a return time of 11:30am to 12:30pm, that FP is good for any time that day after 11:30am. Is that policy or just up to the CM discretion that the end time is enforced? I would think if it were the official policy why put an end time on the fast pass.

It's an un-official policy that fast passes are good anytime after the entry window on that day. Every once-in-a-while, you'll get a CM at the gate who won't let you in with it, but if so, just come back in 15-20 minutes when there is a different CM and that one will most likely let you in.

I've done this before with space mountain. I'll go and grab fast passes for it throughout the day as I can, then a few hours before the park closes i'll head to SM and use em all up and ride 5 or 6 times in a row. Then i'll head to BTMRR and Splash and keep riding, standby, those until they won't let me any more. I usually walk right on to both of those at that time of night.

If they didn't put an end time on, people would hold onto them. Its behavior modification. They don't HAVE to let you on with an expired fastpass, but it isn't very often that they don't.

I'm not sure I'd try it with Toy Story Mania though.

I thought you could get a new FP 2 hours after your last FP OR at the return time on your last FP - whichever is earlier. So in your example you could get FP #3 at 11:41.

Yep, you are right, you could.

Thanks guys. I learned something new today. I have wasted so many FPs thinking they expired since we were on the other side of the park and didn't have time to get back to the ride in time.
Love the dis boards.

I"ve done this many times with TSMM, too.

I was able to get them because the return times on the FP's allowed me to do this.

The first ones we got were for Splash and had a return time of 10:10 am. This meant I could get a new one at that time, which I did for Space Mountain. The return time on this one was 11:10 am.

At 11:30, I went and got FP's for Big Thunder, with a return time of 12:20 pm. That allowed me to FP Buzz Light Year around that same time.

Because Disney allows you to use the passes after the end time, we saved them and just used them all at night!

Worked out great!!!

We did and had no problem with this ride either. Matter of fact, the CM at the gate said that the only thing that waiting to turn in a FP could do is make that line a bit longer IF everyone decided to wait and turn them in at the exact same time.

However, in the end, they only give out so many FP's which keeps things moving along. But, you are right that if you get a CM who decides its not okay, you just find another one who will allow it.
