Fastpass question

This question may be silly - but how do fastpasses work - does everyone have to scan their park pass? I have 2 1/2 year old twins who might go on some rides - i.e. Peter Pan's Flight or Pooh - but they will not have a fast pass. so how does that work...

Children under 3 don't need their own Fastpasses, just their parents. Don't forget to get child swap tickets so you can ride twice!

My advice for long lines - avoid them! Get there at rope drop (in line before park opens), hit the big rides and immediately begin collecting fastpasses. You can get a set and then when your window opens ("return time"), get another set. If you are planning on riding Dumbo, do that first thing!
