Fastpass Question...

I have an unusual FastPass question that I'm hoping someone can answer.

My family of 3 all have Annual Passes. We are heading to WDW in December. On one of the days, I scheduled my DS6 for the Pirate Cruise at GF and I scheduled my DW for a massage at GF.....so, I will have about an hour+ to kill.

I was thinking that I could go to MK and pick up some FastPasses for later that day. Here's the question:

Can you get a FastPass using a park ticket that was not used to enter that park on that day? I know it's kinda confusing. I was thinking that I could maybe take my DS6's Annual Pass while he is on the Pirate Cruise and take my DW's Annual Pass while she is getting the massage and head to the MK. I could use my AP to get through the gate....but, I was wondering if the FastPass machine would give me FP's on my DS6's and DW's pass since they won't be used to enter the park until later that day.

I know....I could just get them to come to the park with me and enter and exit....then head to GF....but, it would be so much easier to skip this step if possible.

Am I making any sense?

Piggybacking with another Fastpass question---I've heard that Star Tours FP is not "connected" to the system--in that you can get a FP there and somewhere else. I also heard that 2 other attractions are unconnected---true? Which ones?

You are making complete sense, but unfortunately your idea won't work. The Fast Pass machine won't give a fast past to a ticket that hasn't been used at the gates.

I've heard that Kiliminjaro Safari and Lights Motors Action! are the 2 that aren't connected...I've never tried it out though.

I planned on doing something similar, while my DD8 goes on the Albatross Cruise from the YC, I wanted to get Soarin' FP for us to ride when she's done. IF she enters Epcot with her ticket at opening time (9am) and we hi-tail it over to the YC for her cruise at 9:30, can I re-enter Epcot with her ticket to obtain FP?

I've heard you can pull that off if you have an understanding CM at the gate who will let you run all three passes through.

On the other hand, depending on when you get there, you're really only going to get one set of FPs with only an hour to kill.

This should work, since they don't run your tickets again when you leave a park. You wouldn't need to re-run her ticket when you re-enter Epcot--just carry it with you. Of course, you could always get the FP's on your way past Soarin' to the YC, but I imagine you'll be too pressed for time.

To the OP, you're making total sense. Like Kick Save said, you try asking a CM to run all 3 (definitely mention that your DS and DW are over at GF spending more $$$--it couldn't hurt). If they say no, another possibility (which will only work if you're there first thing in the am) is for you to get one FP with your AP. If you're there first thing, the start time is often within a half hour or so. Then you could wait the half an hour and get another. Not sure if this would work 3 times--it probably depends on how short the stand-by line is (ie, whether everyone is skipping getting the FP's and just getting in line).

Now that I've said it, it sounds less complicated for you to just have your DS and DW enter the park with you! Anyway, good luck--sounds like you have some fun things planned for your trip!

We just did this exact thing on 7/5 for our 2 DD's. We all entered via the World Showcase entrance. My DW, DD's and DS all turned around and went back to the YC for the cruise. I quickly walked to Soarin' with all the tickets and got FP's and then returned to the YC prior to their departure on the cruise. DW, DS and I then had a nice breakfast at the YC while DD's cruised. This worked well since they let us in the gate about 15 minutes before opening so they had plenty of time to walk back to the YC - you can also take the boat back to YC as well.

Thanks for all the great responses. I figured that the ticket would have to be "active" for that day in that park for the FP Machine to give me a FP.

We will probably all enter MK and then I will let DW take DS6 to his Pirate Cruise before continuing on to her massage.

Thanks,

Note the time on the FP machines before you get your Soarin' FP - this is the one FP in all of WDW that many people have posted about not being accepted after the expiration time.
