Fastpass Question

In MK we were going to go to Fantasyland first, spend a little time at Toontown Fair and then go to Frontierland. I was wondering if we should go to Frontierland first and obtain our Fastpasses for Thunder or Splash Mountain first and then backtrack or do you think by the time we get there we will be okay. Also, can 1 person run and get 5 fastpasses or does everyone in the party need to be present? Thanks!

Well, not knowing WHEN you'll "get there" (you didn't provide ANY times or dates in your post) I can't say.

But, sure, you can send one person with ALL of your tickets to get a full compliment of FP for any attraction that is distributing them. (Of course for ONLY one attraction, for at least an hour after you first get your FP's).

One of us will take everyone's park tickets and grabs fastpasses for all of us, while the other stays with DS. Just no sense in everyone running across the park when just one can!!!

Sounds like a great time to be there.
Mostly after "Spring Break" and before schools are out for the summer.

I doubt that Splash or Big Thunder will even be distributing FP in the mornings then (they are never crowded near opening time).

But by 2 hours after opening, they can start to get pretty busy (and the FP machines are activated.)

If its worth it to you, send someone over (with ALL of your park tix) to SEE if the FP distrib. is open.

I'd say between 10am and 10:30am when the park opens at 8am or 9am.

I agree with Robo that Frontierland is very quiet early in the morning. There is no wait for either Splash or Big Thunder for the first couple of hours. We really enjoy that side of the park early in the day. By 11am the really big crowds start to arrive. Don't forget to see Mickey's Philharmagic in Fantasyland. Last June we got to see this great show with about six other people first thing in the morning. Tomorrowland is far busier early in the morning than the rest of the MK.

Yeppers.

Toontown Fair opens one hour after the regular park opens.

I normally hit frontierland first, especially since splash mtn return window for a FP gets late pretty fast. So you can either jump on the train to take you to frontierland or just hoof it over there. I go there first, hit splash and thunder mtn. Then go on HM, then head into Fantasyland. I believe that MK opens at 9, with Toontown opening at 10. We normally don't face long lines in Fantasyland, but we also don't ride Dumbo, which is notorious for its long line.

So maybe listening to all of you we should directly go to Frontierland and know that Dumbo may not be done at all later. So if I do Frontierland first is there a train we should take from Main street to Frontierland or is it close enough of a walk? Then do Fantasyland, Mickeys Toontown Fair and then Tommorowland. Is this a better plan? If I do it this way is walking the way to go or are their trains along the route from one land to another?

There's only ONE train.

It circles the perimeter of MK making 3 stops each trip:
Main Street
Frontierland
Toontown (this is closest stop to Tomorrowland and Fantasyland)

First-off get to MK early, Early, EARLY !

Then you can walk in to Main Street, go up and take the train to Frontierland, ride there, get back on the train to Toontown, ride, walk to Fantasyland and STAND IN LINE for "hours".

Or, you can walk to Fantasyland from main Street and ride the rides in the MORNING before it FILLS with parents and kids.

You need to decide which is more important... because, like all of us here, you can't ride "everything" FIRST.

When we went, we did Tomorrowland first and went to Frontierland at 10:00. It was not busy at all there at 10:00 a.m. Splash was a walk on until around 11:30. If I were you, I would go first to Fantasyland and get a fastpass there first thing (Peter Pan seemed to get a long line quickly), do some rides, use your fastpass if time is up, and then go over to Frontierland. I think Fantasyland gets busier sooner than Frontierland. It seemed like most guests went straight through the castle to fantasyland or to the right to tomorrowland.

Hi 3kids4dis! I have 3 kids also: DD 11, and DSs 5 and 3. I had originally planned to be there at park opening (of course) and hop the train to Frontierland and hit Spl. Mtn. and BTMRR first, but was convinced by others to do differently. The advice (from another site) by many people was this: since it's my children's first time at MK, we simply had to walk down Main St. toward the Castle because it's just magical. And yes, everyone told me that we definitely needed to start in Fantasyland. We're doing Dumbo first thing, then Peter Pan, Iasw, and Mic's Philharmagic. (we're going to catch the "other side" of Fantasyland our last morning there). Next, we're gonna hit Jungle Cruise (I'm hoping the line's not too long at this point) and then head to Sp. Mtn for a FP, getting a FP for BTMRR later in the day. I don't know how old your children are or if it's their first time in MK, but I finally had to relent and realize that although I love the big rides, I'm sure my 3 year-old would appreciate the wonder of the castle and a few kiddie rides to begin the day! Just my humble opinion! I know you'll have fun no matter what you do! If you do decide to not hit Fantasyland first, I've heard that during the 3 pm parade is a good time (if you're not into parades!)
