The new Fastpass Plus system sucks! Just got back from a very disappointing trip. Bottom line is if you show up early to the parks you ought to be able to get FP for the rides you want, use the FP, then get new ones. (I.E. the OLD system). Yeah, lots of FP+ available for rides that you don't need them for. (Who really needs a FP for Small World or Philharmagic, or for God's sake Stich's Escape??) Refuse to wait 2 hours for Seven Dwarves Mine Train. There we NO FP available for it at all, 30 days prior to my trip. Why the heck should I be penalized because I'm staying off property??? Am i not still spending a ridiculous amount of money for park tickets??? And food??? and parking???
If I can't get a fair shot to get a FP for the GOOD rides there are LOTS of other places to spend $5000 on a vacation.
Disney says "stay in our hotels, or don't ride our best rides without a ridiculous wait". I say to Disney "run your parks and restaurants without my money then".:mad::mad:

It doesn't sound from your post that you're at all interested in ways you could avoid some of the problems you had. You don't like the new system and you aren't going to get the old one back so it's foolish to spend your vacation $$'s there.

I don't happen to agree so I'll continue going.

WDW works for some, not for others just like everything else.

I think the people who don't want to be forced to get to the park early to get the rides they want would disagree with you ....

I call bs. I'm here now and as a guest of a cm I can only book 7 days out and the only ride I could not get is 7dmt that's it every other ride was available.

I stay on property and mine train is hard to get at 60 days out. Every morning additional fast passes are released so if you want the old system back you can wake up early each morning and try it that way.

Well said. I agree with everything.

What I REALLY dislike is that you can't get a new FP until you use ALL THREE of the ones you have.

If your FPs are at 3p, 5p, and 10:30p, you have to wait hours before you can get another one; and by then you may not need it. Ridiculous.

Don't make your fast passes for later times.

That would be a foolish way to schedule fp's if you have a desire to get more past your first 3.

I was thinking that myself. I didn't feel "penalized" because we weren't morning people and rarely made it to snag a TSM FP on time. Nevermind the return window in the middle of our dinner time when we did score one, sucked.

I'm not sure how you got only crappy rides. I changed FP for a friend one week before her trip and there were still lots of great rides. SDMT, A&E and TSM were the only ones that were gone.

OP, expect to be told over and over again why you're wrong and how you just didn't do anything right. I did understand that you couldn't get the dwarfs ride 30 days ahead of time and once in the parks and past your initial 3 FP+ you could only get rides that formerly didn't need FP+. I'm sorry that you had a bad time.

If you get stuck or choose an FP+ for Stitch, they should give you a bonus FP+:stitch2: I think that's the only way I would ever ride it again, but maybe not even then.

Sorry to hear that FP+ wasn't to your liking. Some love it, some hate it, and while that's unfortunate, that's just the way it is.

The only thing I will say (as I've said before), going to a theme park (even during the slow season) and expecting to not wait in any lines is a bit like going to a sushi restaurant and expecting them to not serve any fish. It comes with the territory. If having to wait in lines at a theme park has ruined your vacation, perhaps you need to rethink your expectations of theme parks.

I don't think anyone expects to avoid lines anywhere in life. We are in lines for groceries, banks, driving our cars etc... Lines are everywhere.

I don't think the OP was complaining about lines, except for the 200 minute 7DMT.

IMO I wish the whole FP system was dumped and everyone just stood in a SB line. At least everyone would know what the wait was before entering, because there wouldn't be a FP+ line of guests passing you by. Also, the lines would be self limiting, because most people have a maximum tolerance for waitng.

Before you Pro-FP+ people jump on the OP for doing everything "wrong", ask yourself if spending a day at an amusement park should have a "right" way and a "wrong" way.

OP, ,I agree with you- as a long time visitor, I felt the same... We stayed on site, and the flaws in the fp+ system are so many.....
