Hi Everyone,

I'm hoping to get thoughts of the Fastpass+ system but not start any fights about it I hope. I'm just wondering if I'm looking at it wrong and need to rethink my thoughts on the program so I'm hoping hearing our peoples thoughts will help with my issues with it.
Here are some of my issues with the program: it seems to me that there are a lot more Fastpasses out there then there use to be with the old problem, do you think so too? My son and I just came back from our last trip and I found that we were in a lot of "Not so Fast Fastpass" lines as I call them, where you get in line and the Fastpass line is longer then the Standby line and so they stop the Standby line from moving to get the fastpass line thru and the people standing in the Standby line are now standing in a line that went from a 30 min line when they entered it to an 60+ min in a blink of a eye. This happened to us a lot this trip where if we had a Fastpass we were in a long *** line that Disney did get moving after realizing it was super lone so that some what worked out or we were the people that got zapped because we started in a standby line at a 30 min wait and then just stood there for a lone while because the fastpass line was so long they were running it thru and having the Standby line move 5 to 10 people at a time.. Has anyone noticed this happening to them more often now then in the past? Is this even fixable? How do you work the lines?

Thanks for any suggestions you might have,

Well mom2rtk you are right this may make my discussion moot. But I guess my question would be if they start selling FAstpasses will they be selling as many as they are now giving away? if less it might help the line clog but then again maybe not.
Great something else to have to budget and pay for.

thanks

We love the FP system as it is now....by utilizing the ability to keep adding more FP's throughout the day we rarely stand in a SB line. It is also rare that a FP line takes much time unless there has been a breakdown.

We just returned from President’s Week and we found the opposite to be our experience. The fastpass lines were very quick, I was so impressed. The record had to be SDD, we were in line for under 3 minutes. If I had to estimate we were in fastpass lines between 5-10 minutes for most, some took longer, like Soarin was 18 minutes.

I love the existing FP+ system. It has not been our experience that the FP+ line is long, it's usually quite fast.

Fp lines are always fast for us, unless of course the ride has gone down and we just don’t know it. That happens on occasion.

We like the system as it is. We went this past June scheduled our fast pass's for after 11 (several lazy people) and found no issues whatsoever in getting extra fast pass's after we used the initial 3.

Interesting, when you guys are in your short fastpass line is it long, I mean really long when you get into it? do you notice that the Standby line just stands still as you are moving thru the fastpass line?
We usually go to Disney on school vacation weeks which have been very busy the last few years but my question is do you get a lot of extra options when you go for your 4th fastpass? and what time do you usually make your first 3 fastpasses morning, afternoon?

thanks

Sometimes the number of people in line makes the fp line super long. We were there over Christmas and New Years So this happened a number of times at BTMR, RnR, TofT, TT to name a few rides. But the fp lines always moved pretty fast. Quite often the standbye lines look empty in comparison, and people jump in those lines thinking it’s going to get them on the ride quicker. It’s not.

I make my 3 fp’s at different times of the day. Sometimes first thing, sometimes mid afternoon or sometimes in the evening. Even with my early evening fp’s at the MK, I’m still able to get several more fp’s after I’ve used up my 3 when the MK is open late. The only option I’ve never been able to get as a 4th fp in MK is Seven Dwarfs, but it is possible.
