Fastpass line wait times?

Is there anywhere to find, or does anyone know approximately how long the fastpass return lines are for different rides? I'm looking at a touring plans schedule and it factors in very little time for FP return waits, but I think the wait will be longer?

For instance, it says 5 min for an Indy FP return, but don't you just get in line right by the tomb entrance? (I could be wrong about that.) If the wait past that is 5 minutes I must be a very impatient person...

I'm mostly concerned about FP return waits for;

Indiana Jones
Space Mountain
Star Tours
Autopia
Radiator Springs Racers
Soarin'

Thanks in advance for any info!

It depends. There can be a wait just to hand over your FP, which is what I encounters on Indy the other day. I would say Indy is the longest, because you enter at the temple. You have to walk through the queue, then you have to wait for the safety video, then you have to go through more queue to load. I'd say we waited about 20 for that one. Space you enter the building, so you cut out any external queue, that one moves pretty quick, 10-15 minutes tops. Star Tours is the same, you enter the building, so you cut out external queues. That one can vary because of the way they load the ride, but also 10-15 minutes. RSR you going right into the final switchbacks on the ramp before loading, but you can wait 15-20 minutes to hand in your FP, plus DAS return and wheelchairs/mobility issues use the same queue. After you hand over your FP it's 5-10 minutes depending on how fast they load, party sizes, single riders, etc.

Soarin' I'm not really sure, but again, you're only cutting out the external queue, and it depends if they're running 2 sides, where you get sorted. It can be 25-30 minutes in a slightly less than worst case scenario. Autopia is the only one where I was waiting on the curb to get in a car in about 5 minutes, but I was solo, so that probably helped.

I agree with what is posted here.
I usually skip Autopia, so I have no input there.

I agree with the PPs as well; the FP line tends to be about 15-20 minutes because for the most part, you still have to go through part of the queue.

Indy is usually the worse because the two lines meet up outside the temple and you have to walk the entire inside queue and then they tend to meet up by the well, which means you still have "two" rooms of queue to go through.

Space is usually the best (at least when I've done it). You meet up with the standby line as it enters the building, but there isn't a lot of internal queue. Usually the line backs up to the entrance of the loading room (which you circle first and then proceed down). 10-15 minutes for this one, depending on how busy it is.

RSR is the most variable (in my experience). I would allow anywhere from 20 to 45 minutes for this one, even with a FP. It'll be 20 minutes if you don't have to wait to hand over your FP (i.e., merge point), but it can be longer if the FP line extends further back.

I timed a couple of these yesterday. Indy - we got into line at 10:33 and we were off the ride at 10:50 (end if exit walk). We did get lucky where lines split into two in that we climbed stairs as walked all the way to halfway down the other stairs without a stop. Sometimes that takes forever.

On racers, we got into line at 5:40. Walk and small wait to turn in passes (5 minutes). Them another 5 minutes in final queue. It was moving pretty fast.

Space was a nonstop walk until 1/2 way down the ramp in the final room. 8 minutes later we were getting off the ride.

Based on the answers so far you get an idea that it is hard to say. I usually assume a 15 minute wait with FP which includes the queue for FP usage (which may be zero or may be large for cases like RSR) and time merging into the normal queue and loading the ride.

Rides that fall outside this have been mentioned. RSR can be 30 minutes even with FP. I too gave up on Autopia FP a long time ago. The merge point is too far back and you save little time.

ToT Fp can take awhile also because of the pre-show and long time to load elevators. I usually assume 20 minutes for ToT.

All rides you mentioned are in the 10-15 minute category except for RSR and Autopia.

Thanks for the responses. I'm a LITTLE annoyed at "touring plans" complete disregard of realistic FP wait times... It seems like it wouldn't be hard to estimate better than the 5 and 3 minutes I'm seeing...

And in some cases, Disney considers you "on the attraction" before you are actually seated on a ride.

That would explain the 5 minute FP wait time for Indy! Otherwise, it feels like it takes at least that long to just walk the queue. :rotfl:
