Hi everybody? I have never been to Disney. How much does Fastpass cost per ride? I live in St. Louis and at our Six Flags, it costs $4.00 per ride per person.

Mr. Mike

It's included with your park admission. You insert your admission ticket into a machine and a fastpass (and your ticket) come out.

How long are the lines while waiting for Fastpass? We are going to Disney in the 3rd week of June and know that it will be very packed. How much longer are the normal lines vs the lines for Fastpass?

Mr. Mike

Once you return at your fastpass time, it is usually less than a 15 min. wait, while the standby line can be more than an hour. We went the week the before Christmas last year and our wait in the fast pass line was usually however long it took to walk from the entrance to the actual loading area of the ride.

Fastpass is free to EVERY ticket holding guest!

Correct me if I'm wrong, I think that Fastpass is for Disney Resort guests only, not just for anyone. Beside the admission ticket , can't you use your hotel room card (key) to activate it as well ?

Just out of curiosity...does anyone actually pay $4 to get one?

I think there's a pass which you can purchase at Universal which gives you quick access to all the rides all day, maybe that's why you were expecting to have to pay at Disney?

It's free to ANYONE who goes into the parks though. Have a nice trip!

Universal used to have a fast-pass system that was free, and an extra system if you did not want to wait for your "fast-pass" time. This way you could go into the fast pass line at any time without needing a fast pass. They have done away with their fast pass system, and the only way you can access thoes lines is if you are a resort staying guest or buy the "gold" pass.

At one of the SF parks in CA, people buy them in a 4 pack for $16 and the other sells a 7 pack for $20 I think. I don't know because I never use it.

That's a great way to make people hate Universal and push them even closer towards Disney... :rotfl:

I heard that Disney might, in the future, restrict fastpass to people staying on Disney properties only.

Not yet, but it's out there.

Just a reminder that Universal introduced the concept to Disney and they may now be leading Disney into a better use of the system - for resort guests only. Personally, I love both Universal and Disney and don't quite get those that have to hate one if you love the other.
