For our Mid July trip, with the world of color using the fastpass system for GRR, when can I get a fastpass for GRR? AND is this connected to the rest of the fastpass system? (I know it wasn't, then it was...how about now with the WOC thing hooked in?).

Ok, so assuming I can't get a GRR fastpass until later in the day, We don't want to ride first thing, but if we ride after lunch time, how are the waits generally without the FP? Last Oct even though the parks were very busy, we were still able to ride over and over in the afternoon with minimal waits..any such luck of that happening mid July? Is there a better time to ride? (FYI, day of the week would be Monday most likely).

Are you traveling with small children? If not, you could single rider it. 3 out of 5 times last week, my husband and I were on the same raft. The other two times we were only a couple rafts apart and it was great experiencing it with others who hadn't seen it. I would say the most we waited to single rider it was 5-7 minutes.

Of course if you have children in your group, that wouldn't be an option. The waits on the boards varied from about 25 minutes (in the morning) to 60 minutes in the afternoon.

The don't start giving out GRR FP's until WOC FP's are gone.

Not sure if that option will work for you, but thought I'd toss it out there.

Thank you for that info! We do have two children ages 5 and 7...so we need to stick together. That is our families favorite ride! I'm not happy about the fast passes being messed with:headache: But oh well....we'll just hope for the best:) We'll still have a BLAST!

Have to agree that not being able to get the GRR FP in the a.m. is a pain!

I was in the WOC Show Pass line last week around noon for the 2nd show so the GRR FP were still not available. (we got out of line when we saw how far it wrapped around). About 1 p.m. they announced the third WOC and said there were still SP available. This was on a Tues. I would imagine that the FP for GRR weren't available until after 3 or so that day.

We use the SR line. Actually DD10 uses it more than I do. She loves this ride but I don't always want to get wet. She enjoys talking to people so it works really well for her. She can ride it many times in a row without taking much time. SR won't work for you though since you have to be 7 to ride alone.

FWIW, the following was posted on another forum:

"Last week we were there around 2:15pm and half of the six FP machines were giving World of Color 11:15pm tix with only about a 1 minute wait, and the other half were giving out Grizzly FPs. CMs were directing us thru the exit for WoC and Grizzly folks thru the entrance."

Oh hey, that's good to know that there still may be GRR fastpasses...I'll have to be sure and check! If anybody else has had this experience please share!:)

We just left DLR yesterday, and there were never FPs available for GRR until after 2 each day.

If you don't mind riding at night, it was walk-on or 5 minute wait at most after WOC starts lining up. We would wait until then and ride it 2-3 times in a row before heading to the room.

We were in DLR 2 weeks ago and had two different experiences with the GRR line.

While the FP machines were assigned to WOC, the line was long but moved very fast. 20Min wait max. After FP started up again, there was a surge of FP riders and the standby line became awfully slow (Same length line as earler but was now one and a half hour at least. Don't get me started on how this is a perfect example of why FP needs to go :rolleyes1 ).

Moral of the story is, hit it before the FP machines open up and you'll be fine. Otherwise, get a FP to hit it later.

Last Wednesday, we weren't able to get a FP for GRR until after 4, but we don't know what time they officially started. DH tried several times throughout the day to get them. All machines were for WoC, then some became for GRR, then finally they were all for GRR. But our FP was for some time around 5:30.
