Received an incredibles package in the mail with a flashdrive inside for our next vacation.

It lights up green, says I have 2 messages, but when I click on either one, all it does is send me to the routine my Disney experierence website. No special greetings or personalization video or info.

What am I doing wrong ??

Nothing. That's all the flash drive does. Now you can format it and use it for whatever you like.

If you're logged into MDE already, it will use your name.

But all it is is a link to videos that are already on MDE.

Reformat the drive and use it for your own stuff. Thanks Disney! :)

It is a horrible waste of money for those things. And IIRC the capacity of those things isnt very much at all, so dont plan on doing much with them. For all the WDW does with technology it still amazes me that when it comes to web based things, they basically suck..

NOT TRUE.
There are 2 short videos on the Flash drive with Edna from the Incredibles describing My Disney Experience. Don't reformat the drive until you at least see what you have.

Yes, but they are the same videos that are on MDE, which the OP already said the flash drive took them to. So, that IS all it does.
Don't get me wrong, I like my flash drive and was actually a bit pouty for the 48 hours between when my mom's arrived and mine did. I thought I wasn't going to get one, and I'm the one who makes all the plans! But, you don't miss ANYTHING if you format it since the exact same content is available for anyone on MDE.

I don't 100% disagree but I think this was a good attempt at getting people familiar with the steps involved with FP+. Bring it really relies on those same people who couldn't even understand FP- while they were there to do the same, if not more complicated process from home well before getting there, they need to do some tutorial effort.

Plus the custom booklet with the resort info, magnet and such was a nice compliment.

Reality is from a $$ standpoint, this package prob didn't cost all that much. An order of
Those flash drives on the scale of the number if guests is pennies and the booklet inserts are done digitally in demand and is fairly cheap Overall it's a fraction (under 1%) of the total package you bought.

ACtually, the videos are not stored on the flash drive - just web pages that link to them.

Disney must have realized they were sending to many of these, since I just got the same booklet (for a different trip) in an envelope with no flash drive...

Mac or PC?
What operating system?
What browser?
What video playing software?
What settings?

Do you think they're discontinuing these? I have a trip booked a early Aug 2014 and it seems like everyone on that thread has received theirs already. I told my son it would be coming and he's going crazy waiting for it.

Mine were 4gb each even before I reformatted. I don't call that a small capacity personally.

We got our flash drive right after Christmas for our Jan 26th trip & ours was only 1GB.

Phew, lots of people are so negative!
I got my package with flash drive right before Christmas & I was SO Excited! :) I think it is just a fun little way to get you familiar with MDM and fastpass+
So excited for our trip in September 2014!

I just chatted with Disney. Apparently the drives are only going to people who have "recently" booked their vacation. I booked in October 2013 before this promotion started so I'm not getting one. I'm really disappointed.

Not true. We booked ours in june 2013...and all 3 families received drives (1 package and 2 room only reservations.)

Funny I got one, and then another, and then another, and ...yes one more. 4 in total. We have a split stay 2 resorts, but this was overkill. I didn't even open the last one.

I think these are a waste of money too, only because I'm jealous I don't get one.

Anyone want to smuggle one to Canada? ;)
