I have solved the riddle! In an attempt to avoid the Mayan 2012 proficy (which would really hurt Disney's bottom line), they are attempting to pre-emptively punish evildoers, thus preventing the rapture. Also the new official reason for closing PI and the implementation of the ADR charge.

I am curious to what extent the X-pass would be given out. I don't see a way to tie it in as a freebie offer to Deluxe guests without alienating the DVC buyers and there is no way they would 'give' such a perk to all the DVC'ers. You would be creating a scenario where the cash guest gets a preferrable vacation which will make the newer, higher priced resorts a tough sell. Maybe you get 1 X-pass a day or something. I am willing to bet the cost for purchasing X-pass will not be insignificant, considering the rumoured additional ride features and other perks as part of the package. That is something that has never been done before and will command a real premium.

You mean the rumors? No I meant something beyond that....that's why I said...."besides rumors". I've accepted the rumors for what they are. Other that Tom Skaggs announcing a new reservation system for rides coming sometime in the future, there doesn't seem to be anything being discussed that's verifiable. And that announcement doesn't mean that's why FP enforcement took place. They could be unrelated.

I knew exactly what you meant by "full circle". My point being that you sticking your fingers in your ears while stomping your feet and singing "LA LA LA LA LALA LA" does not constitute a conversation going full circle.

Repeatedly responding and discussing the subject is hardly sticky fingers in ears or singing La LA LA LA, as you seem to do by rufusing to answer the basic question I put to you after you made a claim that there is a lot of evidence. Besides rumors, what it is? You take time to make claims and write words but ignore the reason for the post to begin with....how hard would it be to bullet point summarize that "fair amount of evidence?" Especially if that's what makes you believe that I'm refusing to accept something?

It went full circle because doconeill ended up stating what I had already stated earlier. We went round and round for him to eventually end up at the point I already started....which is that (his words) there isn't any actual evidence supporting that it was done for overuse, either. This is exactly what I said earlier. Both are equally possible if you eliminate the rumor factor because neither have any actual evidence....yet.

Just an individual's or in this case individuals' refusal to allow their opinions to be modified through discourse.

That could apply to either side of the conversation you were commenting on, and even yours.

There is nothing to feel good about as there was no official statement provided for "us" (the ever so loyal ATM machines that Disney considers to be "guests").

So, how could I possibly even consider this "reasonable" when Disney has yet to formally address the public regarding the issue. :
An "official" statement? Like the one, we received, regarding the monorail and safety (aka cutting CM hours..saving $$$)?

However, do not forget that those religiosly advocating late FP will never admit it as then it suggests that they infact did something not exactly kosher.

Actually, that's not true. I'll fully admit it's possible that's why they are changing it. However the evidence of years of acceptance casts real doubt on that being the principal reason for a change. If it was the reason, it still doesn't diminish the propriety in the first place.

And I would agree with you 5 years ago. I pointed earlier that secret got out. All the internet, spoken word and CMs educated those who never knew. I honestly did not even know how speard it was till I searched internet. I always believed that it is Dis secret, but it is not. We do not know how bad it became, we do not have access to Disney data. Remember that people love to complain. Someone got in line with waiting time that increased and not by few minutes, we have lots of reports like that. Someone will come and complain here, someone will go and complain to Disney. Do we know how many complains they get every day, we don't.
