Here's a quick question about Fastpass. We are two adults and two kids under 10. There are a bunch of rides the kids won't go on yet. Can I put all four of our cards through the fastpath machine to get four Fastpasses for the same time that I might use while the family eats near-by, one right after another?

*puts on flame-proof suit*

can you? Yep.

Should you? open to interpretation. you're likely going to get a lot of people here who say that is abusing the fastpass system and an equal number who say it makes no difference who is holding the ticket, an individual is an individual and the seat would get taken anyway.

Good luck whatever you decide to do. :)

Edit: just reread: you won't be able to use them RIGHT after another, ie you can't ride 4 times in a row without getting off, I hope you understand. You'd have to walk around and get back in line.

That'll work fine.
No problems from here.

Just a question- what ride would you want to go on four times in a row without anyone else in your family?

Can you? Yes
Should you use the service that way? There is nothing wrong with it. You paid for the tickets, you are entitled to the benefits.

The fastpass ticket does not indicate the type / person's name that 'owns' the ticket that was swiped.

It is not like you are 'adding to the line' at all, in case someone says that to you.

Well the kids are 6 and 9 and do not like Space Mountain, Tower of Terror, Mission Space, Everest. All of which I would love to go on 3-4 times in a short amount of time while I am in that part of the park for maybe the only time this trip.

I love the family stuff, but I want to ride the big rides too. Do they still do child swap?

They do.

I don't think there is anything wrong with that strategy. I would probably do the same thing if I had someone in my party who didn't want to ride. I am sure people do that all the time. Have fun and enjoy the rides!!!

Yes, they still do child swap. Last time I did it, they gave me (second rider) a colored ticket to show (diff. from a fastpass) which allowed up to three others to go on with me (but they took it, so you are only allowed to use it once). One parent rides while the other parent watches the kids, then the other rides while the first rider watches the kids.

Personaly I think that the computers used for fastpase should be programed on rides that have height requirements so that children tickets can not be used for fastpass.

This would prevent people doing this very thing.

So the kids stay off the ride with the wife? I go, get the ticket and then give it to her to go on the Fastpass side?

I remember taking our son in with us in Space Mountain. They waited near the controll tower and when I got off I waited with the boy until she got off. That was great because he got to see the exhibits before and after the coaster.

Restrictions are not based on AGE, but on HEIGHT.

A nine-year-old (child's ticket) could very well ride many FP attractions.

But then how would my children get a FastPass? They hold a children's ticket but meet the height requirement. :confused3

1.) Why? Honestly, why would you want to stop it? Does it make any REAL difference if it is the same person four times, or four different individuals? The same number of seats will be taken whether it is Bob or Bob, Mary, Jane, and Joe. It is neither money nor time nor rides taken from anyone else, so what is it exactly? Sour grapes that you don't have anyone willing to give you a fast pass?

2.) Who is to say the child would be under or over the height requirement because it is a child ticket?

Gah, all the whining by people who get upset over things that the Mouse allows drives me nuts.

(That and the meds I'm on are making me irritable. ignore if necessary.)

Yes, exactly. :thumbsup2

I have to agree with you, BT. I don't see how it hurts anyone.

Last time the CM gave me the ticket so I could wander around w my nephew and look at the stuff around test track while my brother and SIL went on. Then my SIL watched her son while my brother and I went on with the colored ticket. Ask the CM's because I don't have any experience with child swap on any other rides.

I think the best thing to do would be to just walk all 4 of you over to a CM and ask about doing a child swap. They will guide you to the best line. I don't know if you would use the single rider line or not- single rider lines often move faster anyway. The best thing to do is always to ask a CM.

And just another friendly perspective- if you plan on riding solo while the kids stay with the wife, I hope you will comepensate so the wife can ride (or get a massage or pedicure or go swimming or parasailing or whatever she likes) while you watch the kids, too. Just a suggestion (from a woman of course) :lovestruc

Anyone who holds a valid ticket is fully entitled to get a fastpass. No rule breaking going on here at all and it sounds like a great idea to me!

I bet you really wouldn't like the fact that there were many times on our last trip that we'd grab fastpasses as we were leaving the park for a popular ride just so we could hand them off to total strangers. It's a really fun way to spread the magic!:thumbsup2

One of my favorite things to do on my way outta the park is hand a few FastPasses to some strangers! Don't you just love the look on their faces?! :goodvibes
