I have 2 tickets: one for current use and another for future visits.

Can I use the other ticket that I didn't use for admission to get an extra FastPass? I am just looking for a way to cheat the 2 FastPass limit.

You're a brave man (or a troll)...prepare to be flamed!

The park ticket must be scanned at the entrance in order for it to work in the FastPass machine.

Just remember, and I don't know if this matters to you, there are only a limited quantity of FPs for everyone, and if you take more than your fair share, you are taking them away from others who are not cheating.

I sure didnt know about the park limit, although it DOES make sense. I will be sure not to take more FPs than I need.(BTW~ nice job making a good point without being mean or insulting) :thumbsup2

In order for any type of ticket media to be used in the fast pass machines they must be scanned at the turnstiles upon entering the park.

You can't get fastpasses with a ticket that hasn't been scanned at the turnstyle.
If you have two separate admission tickets, and you are willing to take one day off of each of them, help yourself.
You would have to go thru the turnstyles twice, once with each ticket. It's just like you are two people with separate admission.
I don't see any problem with this. If someone is willing to pay the days admission twice, they deserve to be able to doulble their fastpass ability.

Be careful with that "cheat" word, people here don't care much for that kind of language, or what it represents.

I wondered about this when I read the "paying it forward" post. What about the people who purposely take an extra set of fast passes before they leave a park to give them to someone who is just arriving at the park. Arent they eccentially taking away a fastpass from someone who has been at the park for hours? Doesnt Disney only give out a certain number of fass passes a day for a particular ride? I have read that sometimes the person getting the extra fass passes often have a hard time giving them away because some people have no idea how to use them and sometimes they just have to throw away the fast passes because no one would accept them.

We found this out first hand, when DS came thru the larger gate with his son, with a baby stroller, his wife went thru the regular turn style with both tickets and only scanned one ticket. When my son tried to obtain FP's he kept getting a invalid ticket message. After several tries, he went to guest services and they discovered that his ticket did not recognize him as being in the park that day. Very clever system, so we now make sure all our tickets are scanned upon entering.

That's a good question, and I think the answer would be that, if someone entering the park is given Fast Passes by someone leaving the parks, they're trading places with the person leaving the park, so the amount of people in the park per FP ratio hasn't changed. And, if someone is given a FP, chances are, unless they are really commando, they are not going to get a second set for the same ride, they will just use the FPs they were given and maybe then get more later, when the original ticket window would be open anyway. So, in this circumstance, it should come out even. However, using multiple tickets to get extra FPs is essentially added an extra person to the park where a person doesn't exist, throwing off the guest/FP ratio. I'm really overthinking this, aren't I? :rolleyes1

I don't think there's a guest to FP ratio, FPs are ride specific based on the ride's capacity. There are as many FPs for Soarin' today as there will be on Christmas day. ;)

BTW, your first post (the cheating one), here's how I think we handle it: You're right, the OP would be taking twice as many as he/she is supposed to. HOWEVER! They have to activate their "future use" ticket to make it work out for them...so I say we just be quiet, let them "cheat" that day or two. (Because, honestly, he/she would be getting at most 12 or 13 "extra" FPs out of this genius scheme.) And when his/her cheating is done, they come back in a year, stroll up to the gate, and can't get in because their admission pass is no longer good. :lmao:

$120+ for a shot at a few extra FastPasses? Yeah, they're really pulling one over... :rotfl2:

What does the OP mean by 2 FP limit? I was under the impression that I could get as many FP throughout the day as I wanted, so long as 1 expired before I got the next one. Am I misunderstanding this?

I assume he means that he has two tickets and can obtain one FP per ticket per time, so he can have 2 FPs before his next window opens.

OR also 2 hours AFTER you originally got the fast pass (which ever is sooner).

To comment on another post above, we actually did end up giving our fast passes away as stuff came up and we couldn't stay in that specific park.

On our last day we also got Fast passes to TOT just "in case" the 5 min wait for the entire length of stay there went up... Well we ended up leaving early to tie up some loose ends and I actually still have the fast passes in my hand. A nice addition to my DW's scrapbook. :thumbsup2

I think the OP is trying to start trouble. That was his first post. I think he is a troll.
