Fastpass and park hopping

We are staying onsite in May so will have Magic Bands. I have just started to think about fastpasses and wondered if anyone knows, if you are doing two parks in the same day (park hopping), do you get 3 fastpasses in total, or 3 fastpasses for both parks?

From what I have been reading it is only 3 for one park. You cannot split them between parks for one day.

3 FP's for ONE park, at least right now. That could change, but hasn't yet.

We are hoppers too and I will say only choosing one park does stink when you are used to multiple fast passes at multiple parks. The one thing I recommend is choosing your fast pass plus for your afternoon / evening park. Good luck!

You're welcome! I think a lot of people aren't very happy because they do the hopper but then can't do more than 3. So maybe they'll eventually change it? We go in March, so I hope all of the bugs are worked out by then.

-Rope dropped AK, hit up EE, FOLK, Safari, a couple characters & grabbed some early lunch
-Headed over to DHS where we had fp+ booked for TSM, ToT & RnR

It was honestly super awesome to know that we could arrive at DHS midday and actually be able to get onto those rides without waiting over an hour, or having to get fp with return times during Fantasmic. When park hopping for times like that, it can honestly come in super handy!

Do you know if you are able to make fastpass+ reservations at a kiosk in MK or AK for other parks? I am staying offsite in April, so won’t be eligible to make fastpass+ reservations until the day of. I was planning to do AK in morning and hop to another park (HS) is the afternoon. I was thinking that if I arrive early enough on a recommended day for AK, I wouldn’t need fastpasses, so how convenient would it be to stop at a kiosk in AK and make reservation for later in the day, when I’m more likely to want them to avoid lines at HS?

Yes, I can see the benefits to it now, lol, it is in fact sounding quite good, as we more often than not tend to get to the parks for opening, anyway, so yep, I can see it will work out OK for us now, thanks for helping me see the positives!

The bummer with this is now DHS is now tiered - so you cant ride TSM, ToT and RR for all 3 of yours Im so sad this is how it is! But we will be there is 7 days, and I am still super excited!!

Right now I think it is only EP & HS. There are rumors of expansion into the other parks. No one know for sure. Plus things could change as time goes by. Stay tuned...
