FastPass and AP's

Here's a really dumb question, but, oh well.... We're thinking of buying PAP's for our next two trips. Question: Do the AP's just run through the FastPass machines the same way the UPH's do? (We've been using Unlimited Park Hoppers for the past few years. We haven't had AP's since Disney introduced FastPass.)
