Hi. We've always rented a car in the past, but this time we wont be doing that so I need advice on getting from MCO to AKL.

We are arriving around 7:30 or 8:00 at night and really want to get to AKL asap.

Would you recommend ME or a towncar?

Does anyone have time estimates for each?

We will only have carry-on luggage, so we wont need to go to baggage claim either way.

We will be arriving during a very busy Spring Break week.

How many stops do the ME busses make?

Time is really of importance here (for several reasons), so I'm asking the experts!:)

just jump in a cab. you will be to your resort in 20 minutes.

Do you know what the cost of a cab is vs. a towncar?

And could you (or anyone) please estimate how much time it would take to get to AKL if we took ME?:)

I haven't taken the ME during a really busy time, but during past May & Dec. trips, AKL has been on a route with Pop and CSR. Not sure which they would stop at first or not. Could take some time.

A cab, or car service, will get you to AKL in 30 minutes. POP-CSR-AKL is a common grouping, with AKL being the last stop. Probably 70-90 minutes.

A cab is going to cost you right close to 65.00 one way. They will run a meter. You can find a car service that will charge you $50.00 to $55.00. Actually the car service, if he is waiting at the escalator for you, is the fastest way out when you are carrying all your luggage. His vehicle is approximately 150 feet from where he meets you. If you choose taxi you will have to go hunt down the taxi stands which may be quite a distance from where you come down the escalator to the second floor.

At Orlando if you have the cell number of the driver who will be serving you, you can call him as you land. The driver will than get over to the terminal, get his car inspected by TSA and be at the appropriate escalator when you come down. The vehicle is parked on the bottom floor of the terminal inside and away from the elements directly behind the rental car counters on the first floor. This is much more convenient than it has been in the past and provides the passenger with a quick exit from the airport premises.

The ability to call a driver as you land is significant. If you don't have a direct line to the driver it is possible that you will spend much more time looking for the driver that is assigned by the company to pick you up.

we always use a car service to and from airport with tips its around 120 and they stop at the store for us ( tiffanys town car )
