LONG STORY SHORT! DD and I want to go from Epcot to DTD in the afternoon to have lunch with a first group of guests before they leave for home. We will be touring with a second group of guests at Epcot for their first day. What would be the quickest way to accomplish this with the least amount of walking? As I see it, the options are:
1) take the monorail to TTC and catch a bus to DTD (seems time consuming)
2) walk to BC and catch a bus to DTD; or
3) catch a bus from SSR and walk to DTD from there.

DH will have the van and can take us back, I think. We'd like to do this because that family lives in a different part of the country from us, and we don't see them often. Any opinions? TIA!

I'd go with choice 3. I think the buses to the resorts are going to run more frequently than the buses to DTD that time of day.

Depends on what part of Epcot you're in when the time comes to head for DTD. If you are anywhere near the International Gateway then option #2 is certainly viable. Towards the front of Future World I'd use the SSR or any resort bus (option #3). SSR is, of course, practically at the Marketplace. You could take whatever resort bus is there when you get to the stop, but the transfer at the resort could be 2 or 20 minutes, or wait at Epcot for the next SSR bus, which could be there in the same time frame. Unless you see one pulling out as you walk up, I believe the SSR bus would be fastest.

Option #1 won't work as there are no Transportation & Ticket Center buses to Downtown Disney.

SSR is Saratoga Springs resort.

Thanks for the input, the bus to SSR does sound like the best option.

We have done option #2 a few times, walking from the International Gateway to BC then taking the bus from there directly to DTD. It has worked out very well for us.
