Hi all! My 60 day window opens tonight and I just had a quick question. I'm doing 2 parks a day, so for example if I'm doing ak for breakfast and I just wanted to do a FP for the safari and EE, can I save my other FP for Epcot later on that day? Or do I have to pick 3 at AK to start with? Thanks so much!!

You have to do your first three at the same park.

One strategy, if you're doing AK first and only want to ride KS and EE, is to go straight to KS at rope drop and ride standby. Then go to EE and do the single rider line. That way, you can "save" your FPs for Epcot.

And, although once you've used your first three FPs, you can get more, the most popular rides are unlikely to any have FPs at all later in the day. So it's not a good idea to count on getting your fourth or fifth FP late in the day, because those extra FPs are only "if available."

FP have to all be in 1 park

This is sort of true. Your first three FPs have to all be in the same park. After that, you can hop to another park and obtain additional FPs (if available) at the kiosks at a different park.

Thanks we are eating at tusker house at 8:00 that morning however it's emh that morning so it opens at 8. I'm assuming it will take an hour to eat, we have 7 in our party then we can go straight to KS. It's mar 1st, which is not a busy time either.

If I only book 2 at AK, then hop to Epcot I won't be able to book a FP+?

Yes, I believe you are correct. From what I have read on here (and there are some great links to decipher it all) you need to either use or at least let your return window expire for all 3. Then you can begin booking a 4th, 5th and so on as you use each one up. You could book something that you don't intend to use and just let it expire, then technically your 3 are used and you can try to get more.

I believe the MDE system will still make you pick three FPs in advance - you can't pick less than three. Once those first three FPs are used (or, if you don't use them, once they expire), you could get more FPs at the second park, if they have any available.
