It's been a few years and I need a refresher on how they work. You can only have one per ticket, and only for one ride at a time. For example, I can't get a splash mountain FP while my space mountain FP is good or about to be. Correct?

At the botttom of the FP it will say when you can get your next one. It will either be 2 hours from the time you get the FP or the start time of the return time, which ever is sooner.

Example: get Indy FP at 8 am, return time 9:30 - you can get your next FP at 9:30. So at 9:30 you get one for Space Mt, return time 12:00 - You can get a FP to Splash at 11:30 (2 hr). However you couldn't get another Space FP until the first one's return time comes up (12:00).

Thank you! I wanted to make sure I had an understanding before I was there and confused myself :)

3Minnies is quite correct. You need to forget about the part of your question that asks how many FPs you can "have". There is no limit on how many you can have. The critical issue is how often you can "pickup" FPs. And 3Minnies answered this. Bottom line in simple terms is you can pickup a new FP every 40-120 minutes. The bottom of the FP tells you when you can pickup your next FP. The only caveat is that you cannot get your next FP for a particular ride if you already have a FP for that ride and its return window has not opened.

Look at the bottom of this photo for "Another FP ticket will be available " and that is where it tells you.

Pick em up early & often.....then use them later in the day after the parks get more crowded.

HydroGuy's FP tips & strategies have saved my family several hours of time virtually every day that we have visited DLR. :thumbsup2
