Fast Passes when staying at Bonnet Creek

We are debating between Saratoga Springs (we have stayed there before and loved it) and Bonnet Creek...if we choose Bonnet Creek, can we still book fast passes 60 days out or is Bonnet Creek a 30 day resort? We can get a 2 bedroom at Bonnet Creek for almost the same amt as a 1 bedroom at Saratoga Springs. Which would you choose?

Which Bonnet Creek hotel are you referring to?

The Hilton and the Waldorf do get 60 day FP and EMH. The Wyndham does not.

Thanks...it is Wyndham where we would be staying. I guess then I am leaning more toward Saratoga Springs with less space but more perks! Unless anyone who has stayed at "Wyndham" Bonnet Creek can convince me otherwise ;)

Well, you can read the "We looooooove Bonnet Creek" thread if you want convincing :) We recently stayed in a 1BR at Saratoga for a shorter 5 day trip and, frankly, the whole time we were wishing we were in a 2BR at WBC. We're a family of 3 with a teen DS, so some of the "must get" fastpasses aren't must get for us (Frozen, 7DMT). We did get SDD at 60 days, and probably wouldn't have gotten that at 30 days, nor would we have rope dropped for it...but we did enjoy going on it. We also got FoP, which we WOULD rope drop for if we couldn't snag it at 30 days. With the boarding groups at RoTR, that didn't matter onsite or offsite, and at the time they weren't doing FP for Smugglers Run, for that we did single rider.

The other thing is that SSR is undergoing a multi-year remodeling, and it needs it. We were in an older room and boy, was it long in the tooth. Stained carpet, wobbly furniture, and that pullout bed was a huge pain to open and close. DS can sleep pretty much anywhere and even he complained about how uncomfortable the pullout bed was.

Honestly, though, I think it comes down to your traveling party and your preferences. Do you like to kick back at the resort and in your room, on your balcony, etc? Or are you go-go-go and just need a place to sleep? Is not getting on a specific attraction going to ruin your trip? Or are you a more go with the flow sort of crew? Space wise I think WBC is tough to beat, and for us that's a priority, but that might not be a priority for you.

Something to consider might be a stay at WBC paired with an after hours event for the must-do attractions on your list.

Best of luck with your decision!
