Fast Passes, We Don't Need No Fast Passes!

Great update!

What a marvelous idea of going to the hot tub BEFORE going to the park. We are going to have to try that in August. :goodvibes

You really did great on all of your wait times and fastpasses for two of them. :thumbsup2

I can't wait to hear about your meal at Fulton's. We have always loved this place, but the last time it wasn't so hot and I've been afraid to go back. Since it's not talked about much on the DIS, I'll be anxious to hear your thoughts.

It really was wonderful going early in the morning. No one is around, so quiet and private. If one is used to getting up early head for the hot tub. Get your mugs filled, then sit and soak.

Sorry I missed your last two updates. I seem to need that bat signal! :) I tired of Ohana after three meals there, so I see you tired a lot quicker than me. I do think the shrimp is great, but why does it have to be served last?

Nice way to start of your mornings with a trip to the hot tube. :thumbsup2

I have never been walked off Splash or Space, but I've always wondered what it would be like if it happened. Good thing it wasn't crowded.

Coming back later for pics. Fun updates.

And I forgot about your surgery and your roof. Hope you can get that roof fixed. You really DID need a vacation.

Both of us decided Ohana was ok, but not something to do again. We did enjoy the shrimp, I think they serve it last so less is eaten!

Going to get back to Lowes in the spring.

Walking off Splash Mountain was an adventure for sure. The surprising part was to find on walking outside we were only a few feet off the ground!

First I am sorry about your hospital stay and then the roof:scared1:Great updates. We tried O'Hanas and LOVED it !! I was sceptical for my picky family, but they loved the fried dumplins and the wings and the salad and the noodles and the veggies and the meats , I was the only one who ate shrimp !!I was especially worried about the bread pudding , wrong again they devoured it and Judy says it is a MUST do !!! I see your No Fast passs is still holding up and beiong given one doesn't scount cuz you didn;t get it :rotfl2:
The mornings in the Hot Tub look sooo relaxing !!

Right you are Rosie, we had two fast passes & both were given to us! LOL

We didn't hate Ohana and I did love the dumplings, but it was so much food. We are finding for some reason we aren't hungry at WDW.

Oh what a wonderful way to wake up! A dip in the hot tub!
Awesome morning with no waits! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 Glad you didn't let the SM breakdown get you down. I had that happen only once, on Spaceship Earth!
Also, score on the surprise fastpasses!

A friend of mine got on Spaceship Earth not long after it opened. Her & herDD had to walk down from the top! That is bad, hope you didn't have to do that!

Those dips in the AM were so wonderful.

It was so nice to be surprised by the fast passes.

I would love to have to exit off a ride like that. That sounds fun. Those darn CM's and the rules to not take pictures. Spoil sports!

One good thing with our P &P trips we get 2 GAC cards so FP's are never needed !!:banana:

Getting off Splash Mountain like that was scary at first. If you look at the sides of the chute you can't see a logical place to get onto the side. It was tricky stepping out of the log!

I would have loved to have gotten some pictures, but the CMs were pretty adamant about not taking any!

Rosie, getting those cards are nice to get on the rides is a very nice thing, but more than that they are well deserved by the people that get them.

Ohana is my "FAVORITE"! :cool1: Lapu Lapu is Dang Good too. I'll be getting another one in May. :cloud9: Now I will sit back and enjoy your TR. popcorn::

The Lapu Lapu was the best thing about dinner, I'd go to Ohana just for that drink!

Thanks for joining in

After leaving the MK we decided to have some pool time and another walk around the resort.:thumbsup2

The animals were usually out everyday, mostly the cow ones & the giraffes.

This is a view through a window.

This is overlooking the flamingo pool by the pool. Every morning around 8:00 the CMs cleaned the flamingos’ pond. The birds make quite a mess everyday. One morning I asked the one of the CMs if please could I have a pink feather. He scooped one out of the area and I’m now the proud owner of a pink flamingo feather! :goodvibes

Another view of the flamingo pond, the grayish slatted boxes are their feeding boxes. The slats are made so the ducks can’t steal the flamingos’ food.:rolleyes2

After our pool time and wandering around, it was email checking time on our balcony!

It was getting close to our 5:30 ressie at Fulton’s Crab House. We got ourselves ready and headed out the door of our room.

While on our way to the bus stop this sign attracted Bob’s attention. Thinking it was funny he wanted to get a photo of me and the sign. Ha Ha! At least after 46 years he thinks I still have it, whatever it is!:cool1:

WDWSept2012096.jpg

The bus soon showed up and we were on our way to Downtown Disney. The ride wasn’t too long, around 20 minutes or so. Our first glimpse of Fulton’s in the distance of DTD.

WDWSept2012097.jpg

A few people are out and about in the area.

The front of Fulton’s looks so nice with the blue sky above.

2012Sept096.jpg

It had gotten quite windy since our arrival, but I was excited we were trying this restaurant for the first time.

2012Sept096.jpg

The interior was not very impressive to say the least. Were seated in the front of the restaurant where we could sit by a window overlooking the lake.

2012Sept090.jpg

My drink was something tropical, I can’t remember nor could I find it on line. It was ok nothing special. Bob had a Yuengling, his favorite.

The old man looking at the water, I shouldn’t call him a Disney resistor any longer. He loved this trip.

2012Sept088.jpg

He took my picture and believe it or not I hadn’t noticed the crap behind me until I saw this photo. I was upset that we had been seated by the clean up station and most of Fulton’s was EMPTY!:faint:

WDWSept2012100.jpg

Bob ordered the Filet of Beef Oscar, which was served with mashed potatoes and asparagus and crab. I ordered Filet Mignon with mashed potatoes and squash. I absolutely hate squash and when I asked about the veggies was told it might have some squash. Turned out to be nothing but squash! Bob ate it, he eats anything! I didn’t think until too late to take photos. We didn’t want any dessert, but they wouldn’t take no for an answer. CM boxed it up to go, it was cheesecake and we never did eat all of it!

Our opinion of Fulton’s Crab House was not very high. No way is this place worth two credits. Last year we went to Narcossee’s for our anniversary dinner. There we got personalized menus, a special cupcake in addition to regular dessert & a wonderful atmosphere. We felt so special at Narcossee’s, but at Fulton’s it was so ordinary. The food was ok, not bad, just nothing special. As long as Fulton’s is two credits we won’t be back.:(

We strolled DTD looking at the shops and enjoying the music. This guy was a great sax player.

2012Sept094.jpg

We stood and listened to him for quite awhile. Finally we bid goodbye to DTD, caught a bus back to AKL. When back to AKL we strolled around again to watch the animals and to people watch.

WDWSept2012094.jpg

Finally made it up to the room watched some tv then crashed for the night.

I know, we’re not very exciting, never saw any fireworks at all this trip. I wanted to see wishes, but I think this night was the first Halloween party. Anyway the rest was what we needed this year!

Next up Hollywood!!!

Some how I forgot to add these two pictures! This one is of the flamingo pond with the feeders.

This photo is the front of Fulton's Crab House with the pretty blue sky!

Sorry about that.:rolleyes1

I like the view from your room! I think the flamingo's are really interesting to watch, despite the fact that they are so messy.

I did not know that Fulton's was 2 TS credits. I never read really good reviews on it when it was one. That's ridiculous. For a signature meal you should have tried Jiko. But sometimes its nice to go to dinner in a different location than were you are staying.

Sorry you weren't wowed, but it looks like you had a nice view!

The view from our room was parking lot, but it was high enough to be blocked by the trees.

It was fun talking to the cleaning crew in the morning. They were humorous and friendly and I was so happy to get the feather.

Fulton's was fair, but a two credit not so much!
