fast passes - please explain

Fast passes can be found at all the big rides, like indiananjones, space mountain, big thunder, radiator springs. Racers, etc.... They are totally free. What you do is find the fast pass kiosk (usually by the ride) and enter your park ticket. The fast pass machine will suck in your park ticket, and then issue you your ticket back, as well as a fast pass voucher for the ride... The fast pass will have an hour time window on it of when you can come back (say between 10:30-11:30). When you come back at that time you can show your voucher to the cast member at the fast pass line and they let you in. Now you get to skip the stand by line and wait in the much shorter fast pass line... So basically you have been "waiting" for 1-2 hours like everyone else, but you got to do other things in that time besides just waiting in line, like getting lunch, shopping, or doing other rides.

You can only hold one fast pass before that time window... So if your time window ends at 1130, you would have to wait until then before getting another fast pass. Except WOC, which you can get at anytime.

How do they work, we are going in February, do they give them out in the off season, do you need them in the off season, do they work for all rides or only certain ones, can some one please explain them to me.....thanks in advance

Yes FP's go all year long. There may be days during the week, if it's slow the FP machines might closed.

We use them when ever they are available. At the FP macine area there is a sign showing the return time for FP use. If the time will work with your plans then pull a FP.

If the FP time is less than 2 hours then you can get another FP once that time is reached. If the FP is for later in the day/evening you can get another FP 2 hours after the time you pulled the FP.

Not all rides have FP's.

The ones that come to mind are....
DL - Autopia, ST, SM, BTMRR, SM, IJ.

DCA - Soarin', GRR, CS, RSR, TOT, GSS,

Once you start using them the concept will click.

This isn't quite right. You can get another FP as soon as the time frame for the first FP opens up or two hours after pulling it, whichever comes first. So, in your scenario (10:30-11:30), another FP can be pulled at 10:30. :flower3:
eta: That is, another FP for a different ride. If your FP is in your time frame and you want another for the same ride then yes, you'd have to wait until 11:30 or after use to get another.
