We've received a pack of 4 fast passes per person each time we bought points. Will your guide give you fast passes if you aren't buying anymore points right now? We're going Christmas week this year, and am trying to figure out how to get as many fast passes as possible. Can you buy them?

I think the point of these Fast Passes is to purchase points or complete a tour. If they handed these Fast Passes out willy nilly to every DVC owner it would be a tad on the ridiculous side.

No you can't buy them. All you can do is contact your Guide and ask.

:earsboy: Bill

Obviously DVC doesn't give them out willy nilly. That's why I'm asking if anyone has been successful in having their guide give them when they didn't do a tour.

Not that I've heard; but I guess if it's a member who consistently adds on in substantial numbers and owns a large amount of points then their guide may be inclined to offer something. Take BLT 1pm tour if it's offered, they serve finger sandwiches, desserts & soft drinks and everyone in your party who attends (including kids) will get a card for 3 FPs, some pins & other fun goodies & you might even win a gift card or some other items ( at least that was how things were when we attended in August ); not a bad way to spend approximately 1.5 hours ;)

Good luck :)

I don't believe your guide would be able to give you fast passes without a purchase/tour. Management probably keeps track of how many and why the passes are given out.

Or you could spend 1.5 hours and get some cookies and lemonade and a "thanks for coming" like many people.

(Soft drinks! Much less fastpasses and pins! - way posher than my tour.)

We have never received these from any of our purchases, and I do not think you will be given them just because you are traveling to WDW. They are a sales incentive.

Wow I did an add on a few months after buying into BLT (added on 125 pnts BLT) and never received anything from our guide -wait now that I think about it he did return my call after I left 4 messages (the 4th message said, I want to add on!) Prompt return call:mad:

We never received fast passes from any of our purchases, either. We even purchased without touring/seeing. We went and did a tour at SSR once and all we got was a pin...no fast passes, nothing....how come different members are treated differently?

Not sure but after reading this thread I plan on calling my guide to ask if we can get FP for the purchase we made in March when I go for DH's b.day in December. Worst he can say is no - oh wait lets see that is if I actually will be able to reach him!:rotfl2:

We did get FP's for doing the program that was being offered at BLT in the summer. Everyone that signed up and attended received a FP card with 3 FP's on it.

I don't know if they are still doing this, but it was well worth the hour (especially in the middle of 100 degree days!!!) that we spent. The snacks, lanyards, and pins were an added bonus!!

We didn't end up adding on then, but did when we got home.

Call your guide and ask. It won't hurt to try. I did about 3 days before our last trip in September and she said sure. I gave her the dates we'd be there, and bingo they'd be waiting for us. The only thing I had to do was go by SSR's sales center to pick them up from the front counter. Took all of 2 mins at the sales center, the only real time involved was getting there, but I had no problem doing so since we were going to be at DTD our first day anyway. So after DTD, we just hopped on the boat and went on over. Then took a bus to our next destination. Now if she had been able to have them waiting for me at MY resort, that would have been sweet! But again, we were going to be over that way anyway, so I didn't mind.

I was offered this incentive as well to do a tour.. I believe it was BLT.. We may just do that this time out to get the fast passes if we need them.. Christmas week is a zoo..

We got $50 gift cards to do tour. We were staying at Polynesian and talked with DVC rep there.

Yes very true ::yes:: & even though in the weeks leading up to our trip we read that this was what the 1pm tour experience had been from those posting here we didn't count on anything but getting a tour; which would have been just fine because with or without fun stuff thrown in we wanted to see BLT & find out latest add on incentives & were happy we'd get to see TOTWL too especially since our trip dates had to be changed and we had to give up BLT reservation we had made at 7 month window :sad1:

We got these when we went to a BLT presentation in MArch. I don't think they'e given out so much for a purchase as they are if you take time away from the parks to do the tour and presentation.
Of course, we were heading"off campus" for a few days and I didn't realize that if you didn't use them with 3 days, they expired,

I have been told that I can take them my member services at SSR on our next visit and get them reactivated.

We'll see.

I know my DH is going to call our guide and ask since she told us to. We went in March and did an add on when we were waiting for ME. So since we were leaving she said to call when we go in Dec. and she will have them for us. I told DH to forget about it but he is going to do it anyway.

If I recall correctly, the ones we received didn't start "ticking" until first use. Once we used one the first time, the three day timer started.
