Not sure why but am I the only one terrified of this new system? I have been going to WDW for 20+ years and have my systems on how to attack parks down pat. Many of my friends have marveled at seeing the way I can navigate the park and get through efficiently. I'm just not sure how to take all this change right now. So here is my thoughts on the goods and bads. Feel free to chime in.
The good
No more rope drop dash for FP.
DVC resorts stays get 5 FP per day.
Has to be more but not seeing
The bad
Although we would have a loose plan on what park what day, sounds like if I am pre booking rides I will be locked into a certain one each day.
DVC resort stays only get 5 FP per day. I listed this twice because in i want to say i've gone over 5 in a day. Although not common I'm pretty sure I've done it.
I will truly miss giving away my extra fast passes. My DW won't do certain rides and my DS will not do multiple times on some. Always enjoyed finding someone heading to standby and telling them to enjoy.
Here is what I don't know.
Can I book multiple FPs for the same ride in a day? I and my DD love to ride SM in MK in the morning and evening and could always swing back and get a second later in the day. Not sure this is possible in the new system
Will there be less FPs be given out overall? My understanding is certain guests will only be able to obtain cetain amounts. If that is true could that be both good and bad for standby lines? I recall a previous well written post about how if FP was eliminated totally it would actually benefit the standby lines.
Feeling long winded here. I guess skipping this year has me on heavy withdrawls and need to think about my next trip in Aug 2014
