We used Fast Pass+ for the first time for two days this week. Sunday we were at Magic Kingdom. On My Disney Experience we signed up for the passes about a week before we went. It gives you the options available for your day. You pick your three faves and it suggests three different scenarios which we picked from.

At the Magic Kingdom, we went with Haunted Mansion, Under the Sea and Buzz Lightyear. We were given Haunted Mansion at 1:30, Under the Sea at 2:45 and Buzz and 4:30. We walked right through the queues on all of them.

:dance3:

The next day, this past Monday we had our three for Epcot, starting with Soaring at 9:50, Spaceship Earth at 11:30 and Mission to Mars at 1:30. Again, they were all short queues.

Would we have liked more of them after they ran out though? Yes. We did see kiosks for them at various places with long lines. We were very glad we had done them in advance.

~Yay! We loved Magic Bands and FP+, too! I hope at some point off site guests will be able to reserve FP+ in advance -- this should help with those lines. Also, I've read that everyone crowds up at one kiosk -- when there are other kiosk locations in each park. I'm watching closely because I have planned to stay offsite this year. Anyway, thanks so much for your review! We can't wait to head back to WDW! :yay:

I think you are just the type of guest FP+ was designed for. Glad it worked out for you. :thumbsup2

Glad to hear you had a good experience! How was the rest of your park experiences? I am hoping to get a feel for how lines and wait times were if possible.

I'm here now, staying on property (OKW) I arrived majorly apprehensive about FP+, nightmares of 90 minute waits for everything from space mountain to the carousel of progress, my day being a mixture of confusion and panic, fear of glitches and blue mickeys and having our normally (relatively) peaceful Super Bowl trip just awash in chaos. I thought long and hard about maybe sneaking vodka in a water bottle at MK to try and cope.
And. . .after 4 days. . . FP+ is working fine. In fact, we stayed late at MK last night, and a couple of minutes ago, while sipping coffee and looking at the Sassagoula river from my villa balcony, I changed around all our FP+ for today to accommodate our later arrival. (As the former fast pass plus runner of the group, this made me very happy)
It's been pretty glitch free for us for the most part, I've been able to make changes on the fly, none of the FP waits have been bad, (occasionally you will get some back up at the front of the line during the scanning) and I haven't seen too many crazy FP kiosk lines. Spaceship earth went down yesterday, we got emails and a new FP we didn't need to schedule, just use it to walk on any tier 2 ride with availability.
Do I want more FP+? Of course, I could take two or three more, are the tiers annoying? Yes. ( "why did you get us fast passes for this? It's living with the land!") but overall, I kinda like the system. I understand how it would be more annoying to deal with if you are a park commando, but for those that aren't, it's really not going to affect your touring style that drastically.
