Fast pass with only not so scary tickets

Anyone have any luck getting any fast passes with only the event ticket purchased? I hear it has been done in past years but I am having no luck...
I just trying to work a plan...LOL

You only have a MNSSHP ticket in your MDE and its not allowing you to make FP+ with it?
